India completes FTA (Free Trade Agreement) (1 Viewer)

Three years?! Trump can get it done¹ in three weeks²!

1) with some minor disturbance
2) technically, it's already been more than three weeks

That's going to boil Trump. Just like he pushed Canada and Australia to another Liberal government, Trump is pushing the world to forge trade and trade deals with other countries and reduce their risky exposure on American trade whims. In the end, even though there will be renewed "deals", I think the US ends up the loser as their export and import markets shrink.

Okay, I understand that americans are fixated o tariffs at the moment. And as trump has proven americans tend to dwell on the obvious while ignoring the details, such as
https://www.theguardian.com/politic...-trade-deal-after-three-years-of-negotiations
The deal promises a boon for the UK’s car and alcohol industries,

So basically the uk will send alcohol to a country where the religions either bans or preach moderation for alcohol. And send pollution spewing cars to a country with the highest and most toxic air pollution of any country.

And on the other side.

However, it has caused a row over a decision to exempt Indian workers who have been temporarily seconded to the UK and their employers from national insurance contributions (NICs) for three years.
Kemi Badenoch, the Conservative leader, called it a system of “two-tier taxes”.

Or in other words cheap indian labour that will undercut the hiring of british people who do have to have insurance paid by the employer.

Art of the Deal, bebbe!
And maybe those two nations feel they can trust each other, because they understand that the deal helps both sides, because both sides understand the benefits of free trade.

Who will want to close a deal with the U.S., since Trump might tear it up on a whim at any time? And since Trump doesn't understand the basic fundamentals of economics?
