When the Founding Fathers freed themselves from the British government, they were freeing themselves from the banks and corporations just as much. They knew corporations had to be kept in check. Incorporation is a privilege. Initially all corporations were selected to enable activities that benefited the public. Shareholders were only enabled to profit as a means to an end. Corporations were forbidden from attempting to influence elections, public policy and other realms of society. They had a lot of other conditions imposed on them as well, like they were not allowed to make any political or charitable donations.
I know that the Founding Fathers were no socialists but they were way bigger socialists than Obama. They were State Capitalist curious at the very least. They were certainly no fans of corporations. Americans need a State Capitalist government to protect them from the corporatists.
The People need to fight the common enemy. The enemy of the people is the corporatist. Conservatives and liberals can argue after the corporatist is defeated. Americans need to unite and agree to an anti-corporatist State Capitalism before it is too late. America needs State Capitalism. Peoples Capitalism. A Peoples Capitalism that is by the People and for the People.
Right now, the US Federal Government could preempt all 'state corporate law' under the courts current expansive interpretation of the Commerce Clause. You could get around the Tenth Amendment and get them all out of Delaware. Corporate Personhood mocks the Bill of Rights and could also be removed. The Founding Fathers would remove it.
Americans are running out of time to save themselves. State Capitalism will save you.
The successful State Capitalism that China runs is a great Peoples Capitalism. The markets work for the State and not just for the corporatist. China are not corporatists in any way. I think the US Founding Fathers would prefer the State Capitalism of China to the Corporate Supercapitalism of the USA.
