Immediate Expansion of American Timber Production

No, that's not what it means.

But thank you for today's Stalinist meltdown. I had wondered what it would be.

AND stops the kind of wildfires that just destroyed Palos Verdes and Malibu.

Slashing our incredible gifts saved by Lincoln and T. Roosevelt is what you would expect from the party of Trump.

Making demons out of National Park employees is about as disgusting as it gets in a free nation.

Are you just making shit up?

Nothing supports your claims.

Not sure how they can develop a successful reforestation program that quickly.......or maybe they just won't bother.
Maybe they'll just build new Trump golf courses and condos.

So you fear this will impact Canada's lumber production. The hyperbole and demagoguery you post is in reaction to competition by the USA.

Got it.

Maybe they'll just build new Trump golf courses and condos.
They already have.
These people haven’t seen deforestation abutting National Parks.

Maybe they'll just build new Trump golf courses and condos.

I wonder if the comrades here remember or will admit..

Active forest management has been a cornerstone of Gianforte’s response to wildfire, and something he highlights as part of his approach to climate change. On June 9, Gianforte directed the state Department of Natural Resources and Conservation to double the number of acres treated with some mix of logging, thinning or prescribed burning. On July 14 he announced that the state has approved 14 such projects under the Montana Forest Action Plan.

“The reality is, if you thin a forest, everybody wins,” Gianforte told Montana Free Press in a late-July conversation about climate change. “We get more habitat, there’s more wildlife, there’s more recreation. The forest becomes more resilient to wildfire. … it doesn’t burn as hot and it doesn’t burn in the crown.”}

Log it or watch it burn - one of the two WILL happen.

I'd rather hang on to our natural beauty and get lumber from Canada.

<> All cutting on federal lands requires reseeding and silt fencing. <>

Yeah, because Trump is concerned about following requirements.

Who cares if America burns to the ground, if you were able to troll the libs on the way down, eh? Just like a MAGA...

You have zero idea what it's going to look like, but go ahead and take a seat among the rest of the violin players and pay attention.

This is even worse. Our veterans are outraged at the job cuts in the VA which affects many veterans who are currently working for the VA.

Alina Habba made a comment that further outraged veterans. "Perhaps they're not fit to have a job at this moment".

I didn't claim that 280 million acres will be deforested, only that the areas of our national parks are comprised of 280 acres of trees, all of which is subject to be taken for lumber in the future. There are no lines drawn where it ends.

Harvesting of timber correctly is good for the environment, ecosystems, and wildlife. Opening up of areas to allow sunlight to reach the ground creates a better environment for hardwood timber to thrive.

Both ends of the spectrum are bad, either no harvesting or total deforestation, yet the best is the middle ground, which enhances our forests, creates jobs, protects wildlife and lessens the fuel for fires. By only seeing the bad side you inadvertently side with them causing our forests to be unhealthy with far too much undergrowth and the destruction of hardwood trees within thereby causing an imbalance in the entire ecosystem.

They should see the deforestation right up to an abutment with national parks, such as Olympic and Glacier, just a few of the places teaching gave us the gifts to see.

They should live out west where the ‘real fight’ is over water.
This is what uncontrolled, crony capitalism eventually does.
Just like uncontrolled ethnic cleansing and murderous dictators.

I’m the ‘Lucky Man’ who’s been able to see the incredible natural resources in this country, and leave soon again for another epic trip out west.

The California fires are usually bad due to type of natural plants and other invasive species along with drier winds. A lot of their plant species have more natural oil content and the oily leaves burn longer and get blown a long way while still burning.

It's a tough act.

When managed properly is the operative term.

Without regulation and referres to call fouls and apply penalties what is to guarantee stipulation with proper management by greedy corporate types?

Trump wants to increase timber harvesting on federal land.
Trump has fired and wants to fire more federal employees who would be responsible for making the increase harvesting happen.

Does that make sense to anyone?

Yeah, I don't think that's how it works.

LOL

Trump is lying to you again.
China just recently banned American lumber imports. If America exports lumber, well, you know...

I know he's lying, he doesn't know what the word 'truth' means. He's lying about Canada's fentanyl labs, too.

Trudeau recently said; “What he wants is to see a total collapse of the Canadian economy, because that’ll make it easier to annex us.”

Do we have the mills to appropriately process the lumber?

46 more months of chaos and evil to go.

Do we have the mills to appropriately process the lumber?
Ordinarily, the US Forestry Service does any of the logging in our national parks. But, I would bet that there's an outside logging company that greased Trump's palm by donating to his election that will get the contract.
