I have flown around the world. I have been all over the world, and there is no better country in the world
than America. For all those that don't like it there is the friggen door don't let it hit you on the way out.

To one of the greatest nations on earth.

Being proud of something, doesn't mean it's perfect, Vern. Or even great.

what's wrong we "greater"?

That's not the slogan. Its make America great again.

If America is great, then we can go with a more sane president so we can achieve that level of greater.

Soo we can admit the nation isn't perfect but we aren't allowed to discuss it's flaws?

If you're sick of living in a U.S.A. where the citizens are demanding change... You need a history lesson. We're always changing.

Here's what I have to say to those who disagree with me: Feel free to stay where you live, because this is america, and we have the capacity to live among people who don't always agree with us. Because that is a fact of life.

Feel free to leave the country if want, but I'm gunna stay and try to work on our imperfections.

Sure America is Great, but why is she Great?

Because capitalism is greater than communism?

We had all the resources of the Continent and look, Communism was still able to compete.

All we've done is squandered our advantage and now we squawk as a beheaded chicken as we run out.

As a respite to the worn out Europeans America has a privilege and responsibility.

"Black lives matters" is a pure racist slogan. "All lives matter" is better. But really, it should be "All American lives matter."

You don’t believe that..........

Good for you, I have the same experience and Love this Nation. Not sure about your rant of love it or leave it but I am sure it triggers some here.

i have...why does that matter?

this is a great song...and even better on the remake in my opinion

this country has never been perfect, will never be perfect....

i dont belittle it for it....i stand proud for what it is....what it has accomplished...and what i know it will accomplish

we have made many mistakes, and will undoubtedly make many more....

there is still no where else i would rather live....and at last count, i has been to 45 foreign countries

for those that think patriotism and the flag dont matter....go down to the Vietnam wall memorial on Memorial day

See the human side of what patriotism is....of who matters, and who doesnt

Thank you for your service; I was addressing another poster.....

What I like about America is the Constitution.

And the fact that we're filthy rich.

And all our movies, TV shows and books.

And the cowboy myth.

I even like our neighbor Mexico.

What's your point? Did my two simple sentences confuse you? Where do you see me saying anything about not discussing our flaws or not wanting to live here? BTW: I've lived in America for over 60 years. And I'm staying.

Yep, unless there's a black man elected president, right my friend? Now that we have a white (well, orange) guy in the WH the world's a better place, right my friend? Forget that he's a maniac.

So predictable.

So, you're against Biden?

Your post is an illustration of the problem.

Once "Proud to be an American (with an inferred despite our faults") morphed into "Proud to be an American, if you do not like it then get out" partisan issue the result was intentional division. Just as you are outwardly doing here, and in a sense being violent about it.

The prevailing caricature that Republicans pin on Democrats is absence of national pride, but the harsh truth is the absence is of Republican view of national pride. A set of benchmarks and litmus tests one must profess or "there is the friggen door don't let it hit you on the way out."

The intent is built upon the fallacy of refusing to listen to political opposition (again, listen only... not accept or adopt.)

One can have pride and not show that pride as you do, one can have pride in different things about this nation other than what you see.

And the result is always the same, a rise of authoritarianism by those blinded in the concern of opposition. The "perception gap" (as it is called) results in the divisions you champion, eventual calls for marginalization some on the right already call for, and ultimately expulsion by any number of means that history shows is always violent.

Congrats, you are the problem.
