I came across an article this morning commenting on the employment increases Biden has been speaking on. And it appears an overwhelmingly amount of these jobs have gone to illegal aliens.

While that is not surprising there was something that did surprise me. And that is even those who are in deportation hearings are allowed to work for up to 5 years while the hearings play out.

President Biden touts how he is deporting illegals at a very high rate. A quick review of statistics show ~89% of deportation hearings result in deportation. It varies depending on the court the cases are heard.

Of course, some will say "so what"?

On the flip side we can ask how exactly does this rule benefit Americans?

It seems counter productive to rally cry around higher wages when the illegals will work for the lower wages than those who are fighting for higher wages.

Its a zero-sum game. 🤷‍♂️

For much of the past year we had been pounding the table on two very simple facts: not only has the US labor market been appallingly weak, with most of the jobs "gained" in 2023 and meant to signal how strong the Biden "recovery" has been, about to be revised away (as first the Philly Fed and now Bloomberg both admit), but more shockingly, all the job growth in the past few years has gone to illegal aliens.

We first pointed this out more than a year ago, and since then we have routinely repeated - again, again, and again - yet even though we made it abundantly clear what was happening...

Stunning statistic: there has been ZERO INCREASE in jobs for native-born workers in over five years, since July 2018! pic.twitter.com/mxdpmPHIbO

... going so far as to point out the specific immigration loophole illegals were using to work in the US for up to 5 years...

Why have all new jobs since 2018 gone to foreign-born workers (i.e. immigrants)? Because you can be an illegal immigrant in deportation proceedings (not to mention anyone seeking asylum) and get authorization to work in the US for up to 5 years, no questions asked. pic.twitter.com/VmhTBUM1I2

... and even fact-checking the senile, ballot-harvesting White House occupant on multiple occasions...

Fact-check:

1. Prices have never been higher and are starting to accelerate to the upside again
2. All the jobs created in the past year have been part time.
3. There has been zero job growth for native-born Americans since 2018; all jobs have gone to immigrants (mostly illegal… https://t.co/MeX7KhbaHlpic.twitter.com/OJI79p9oLp

... we were shocked that the topic of most if not all US jobs going to illegals was still not "the biggest political talking point" of all.

😂😂

Is it hard to swallow the amounts of bullshit that you swallow or is there just a special skill to it?

Two paragraphs of the zerohedge article almost had my eyes get stuck from rolling.

Do you actually believe that shit?

Are you arguing illegals in deportation hearings are not allowed to work for up to 5 years?

It simply doesn't matter. If unemployment was any lower, employers would be complaining that they can't get staff.

Maybe then they would change their practice and meet the demands from those rallying for higher wages.

1. I don’t use the term “illegals”
2. I think immigrants should be able to work LEGALLY while awaiting any hearings - EADs are temporary work authorization papers
3. Lots of people receive EADs, not simply those awaiting deportation hearings.
4. People have been receiving EADs forever. I’ve dealt with them in the corporate world for 20+ years. If you just found out about them today because of Zero Hedge bullshit, that’s on you.

That's nice. Call them hero's if you want

Allowing illegal aliens in Deportation Hearings to work when the statistics overwhelmingly show they will be deported is essentially rewarding them for their illegal activity while taking jobs from legal Americans

We need to go back to Trump's policy of making people stay in another country while they await an asylum ruling. That take care of the whole problem.
Exactly 👍

The dems need welfare votes to stay in power. Theyll give voting rights to illegals in the coming future. Bank on it.

Allowing immigrants awaiting deportation hearings to have EADs means that they are working LEGALLY while awaiting a hearing.

Your way continues the black market of illegal workers.

But hey - 🤷‍♀️

Some of us actually comprehend this and some don’t

Do you believe the other countries have some say in that policy?

Yes, that is the subject.

How does that benefit Americans who refuse to do the work while rallying for higher wages? In a sense, they are shooting themselves in the foot if they also support Illegal Aliens working for 5 years while under Deportation Hearings.

Allowing polices that support the illegal activity like this does nothing in regard to forcing employers to pay Americans higher wages.

EAD =/= illegal activity or illegal labor.

It is a LEGAL WORK AUTHORIZATION.

Your entire point fails because you don’t seem to grasp what you are discussing.

Isn't it sad how white conservative men without college degrees are less competitive than immigrants from Mexico and central america?

/sarcasm. New jobs are going to illegal immigrants because young native-born americans are joining the workforce in proportion to Baby Boomers who are retiring. The job market is good for young native-born americans -- certainly much better than when I graduated college. If some people can't find work that is more a function of their work ethic, their parents, and the education system the elected officials in their state set up for them.

Do you believe the other countries have some say in that policy?
I'm sure the new Mexican president will be very open to the suggestion!

;)

Your personal attacks are predictable

No one but you is arguing the legality of EAD. I even posted the information from the Government website.

Try to focus on the topic.

LMAO… How exactly do you implement a policy like this without the other countries agreement?
If you lock the border down we don't need anyones agreement.

You would do well to look at how Trump implemented his policy. Then you wouldn't need to ask that question.

Since people from Mexico and the surrounding areas tend to work in agriculture, we get to eat. That’s how this is beneficial for us.
