I don't think many have turned on him, but I think many have turned away from him. Those people have become very quiet. They're not defending him anymore, but neither are they criticizing him. They're probably too embarrassed to do so.

1. Strict on immagration, deport a whole bunch of illegals, build a wall to keep others out. (Wether or you hate deporting people or you beleive a wall wont work, his followers think it will.) Changing the visa programs to best and brightist get to come in instead of family members. A reduction of the H1B1 visa program.
2. The war on terrorism. This is mostly seen as a strong point for republicans but they like a person whos able to call the terrorism in the middle east as islamic terrorist.
3. The Drain the swamp idea. Senators and reporsenatives have made 40+ years in office and are known to be corrupt. Congress should be subject to term limits to get fresh ideas and new people into polotics. Just 100 years ago a senator only held his job for 2 years now they are in there 6 years a time.
4.MAGA idea that hire american buy from americans make things in american and negotate better trade deals. (How can of you be against that)
5. His stance on foreign wars and conflicts was more of a stay out of it aproach. Thats how this country used to be and meddeling in foreign affairs is not always in americas best intrests plus we are getting tired of the war in the middle east.
6. Obamacare, this is a republican idea for the repeal and replace. Most Trump supporters dont care one way or the other. They only care about how much they have to spend on health care and they are seeing that they are paying more and more each year for less and less coverage, so its like sure why not cuz i dont like where this is going anyways. I for example am for abolishing health insurance all together and for a municple health care tax funded single payers style system.

The fundamentals of the economy are strong. Crime has dropped significantly, more and more people are happy with their lives.

American people don't need to know how its done, they just need to reap the rewards just like when you go to McDonalds you don't need to know how the big mac is made. Just enjoy the taste.
