If you could ask Jesus questions..

And you're trying to answer as if you're one who knows.

Yet you don't.

An all knowing, omnipotent god who truly loves his "flock", wouldn't let them destroy each other regardless of time intervals.

Stop trying to justify that which you can't justify.

And yes, we can know how God views things...that is why we have the Bible, to tell us His thoughts on matters...

However, do not let this escape your notice, beloved ones, that one day is with Jehovah as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. Jehovah is not slow concerning his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with you because he does not desire anyone to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance. 2 Peter 3:8,9

Absolutely amazing how some religious folks can justify even the most horrible of things in the name of "their lord".

Even more amazing how secularists can blame their own evil on the God they say doesn't exist....

The limited perspective is yours.

How about we let you be god for the moment. Now, how would you create man with free will, while at the same time not allow him to do evil if he chooses?

Logicman,
re: "So more souls could be saved..."

Using that logic, Logicman, the Messiah should never return in order that even more souls could be saved.

Well, it appears the Lord has a number in mind, and it hasn't been reached yet, so stay tuned and make sure you're ready to meet your maker.

as someone asked a question one day:
when is the Lord coming back?

my answer:

as soon as the last soul that is going to be saved is going to be saved.

some times people are hurt and we have to let them be hurt in order to get a better understanding of life.
You seem to forget that it was man that brought hurt and pain into the world not God.

For free will to exist there has to be choice. without choice free will does not exist.
in that free will comes bad choice in which other people are hurt or injured.

That is why Christ came as the healer to heal that rift and to allow for that rift to be healed for all those that would ask for it.

What would you ask him?
Post them here and I'll have a guess at how he'd reply.
My "credentials"?- I'm a non-denominational 'Freelance Christian' and modestly claim to know something about the bible and have gained quite a fan following as I've strutted my stuff in assorted discussion forums over the years under various screennames, as well as getting the usual hate mail..;)
If the Holy Spirit chooses you for salvation*, and you have no say in the matter, then why doesn't it just choose EVERYBODY and be done with it and make the world a good place?

*- This is one teaching I have heard, you do not choose, because choosing is a "work", and you cannot be saved by "works". You are chosen.

I'm not the OP but I can answer...the holy spirit chooses a person because of their heart condition, not because of anything they say or do...Jeremiah says Jehovah reads the heart, He examines our inner most thoughts...those with a heart inclined towards Him, he draws, those with a wicked heart, He doesn't...Jeremiah 17:9,10
