Often it seems like very few DP members are willing to think about trying to consider accepting the extremely obvious, repeatedly proven facts stated in the Holy Bible. So now I am done with them and will only discuss religious subjects with other people who do believe Jesus is God.

Where are all my fellow Christians on Debate Politics? Ready and waiting for them because it is no fun talking to anyone else about the Bible.
 
You know, there are these buildings all over the place, full of people (at least one day per week) who would be perfectly happy to talk about the bible uncritically.

Why do you have to do it on a political debate website?

Dude, I get that you're a Bible fan fiction enthusiast but why are you trying to force your kinks on the rest of us? Don't get me wrong - the Bible has some decent bits. I like the part where that one dude got swallowed by a fish, and there are the occasional sexy bits as well. That said, as a cinematic universe, Christianity and Jesus struggle to even crack the Top 10 Most Compelling and Awesome religions. It doesn't even bother to capture the multiverse, reincarnation or the possibility that the universe is a simulation. Let's face it, that's amateur hour.

I think it's cool that you've decided to bury your head in the sand, but I hope you provision for an oxygenation mechanism because this whole "I'll-only-talk-to-peeps-who-read-the-same-comics-as-me" bit is not the best path to follow vis-a-vis the ability to breathe. That said, you do you. I strongly encourage you to disengage from the entirety of society that doesn't believe in your [second-rate] Thor, so that you can pledge alliance to a conceptual entity who is, at best, a Captain Kirk simulcrum. C'mon dude, you couldn't even trade quips with Spock?

What's really embarrassing about this whole episode is that Jesus and the Holy Spirit weren't even capable of figuring out the Prime Directive, yet you hitched horse to them. That puts the lot of you in MTG territory.

What's next? Protestant Space Lasers?

I'd like to hear from anyone who thinks Jesus is the ONLY God. Or that Jahweh died when Jesus was born.

The ONLY way to the father (heaven) is through Jesus Christ. What others believe does not concern me.

The name is spelled Yahweh FYI. And I have no idea who would think God died when Jesus was born.

We know Jesus is the only God because no other human being is the result of God implanting Himself into a virgin's body. If there ware multiple gods, other people would be like Jesus.

How can He not be, with all the NUMEROUS OVERLAPPING VERSES from the Bible?
Not to mention, logic too.

I believe Jesus is God. Numerous scriptures attest to that.

One thing I was wondering, though - you being a liberal. Do you believe Jesus supports same sex relations? If so, got a scripture or two on that?

I believe in Jesus.

But I also believe that Christians can be evil and use religion as not only a bludgeon but a way of being divisive. Which is exactly contrary to many of the teachings of Christ.

The OP is a great example.

How is that being "divisive" when the OP states the author would want to talk to Christians who believe that God and Jesus are One and the Same?
I suppose he's tried of arguing with christians who preach a different gospel and a different Christ.

Aren't you being provocative with your last sentence? Your point is clear enough.........................do you have to add that last sentence?
