MAGA!

I just saw your bear avatar!! Did you take that photo?
No. Lol. I was within camera shot of a bear at Lassen NP many years ago, but he ran when he heard the sound of my camera lens opening. Way back before cell phones.

That's from a recent local news story.

Okay, in looking for the article, there's an update from yesterday.

The resident's name is Kathi Scott. She attracts bears.

Living near the mountains, spotting wildlife isn’t unusual for many Reno residents — but one homeowner says the bears in her neighborhood have gotten a little too comfortable.

Kathi Scott, who lives near the Steamboat Ditch — a popular corridor for local wildlife — says she’s used to seeing the occasional animal wander through. But lately, her fences and other deterrents haven’t been enough to keep visitors out.

Her friends even gave her a nickname: “Goldilocks.” Why? Because she’s had a baby bear, a medium-sized bear, and a big bear in her yard in recent weeks.

Lol. Good nickname. I think the bear in the pond is hilarious so I stole it for the avatar.

Cool! I was just in South Lake Tahoe and we saw two on my friend's ring camera but they weren't as cheeky as the one in your photo. They were just looking for trash.

Yes, that's their job. The one taking a dip was obviously on break.

The news at South Lake is the mayor resigned and the mayor pro tem is also corrupt and will be replaced. Great time of year for fall colors, though. Lol.
