ICE masks, ID and warrants (Discussion)

So, as I stated when this nonsense all started its a really bad idea for ICE to wear masks, not show credentials and to not have warrants.
I stated that it would lead to impersonating of officers and well of course I was right.
There have now been multiple incidents where people have impersonated ICE to either assault someone, rob them or kidnap them. There are probably incidents we don’t know about.
ICE needs to be required to have a warrant snd not doh you look like somebody. No, you have a warrant showing who that someone is and you have credentials.
Not only have there been several incidents of abuse of power there are multiple instances of fake agents.
This has to stop folks its the bare minimum to require an agent to identify themselves and show a warrant. Several citizens have been detained and legal immigrants as well.
We know one of the prosecutors is a White Supremacist and this will get worse. If someone didn’t identify themselves Id definitely flee. I sure wouldn’t open the door
 
The masks/no credentials/no warrants was a bad idea from the beginning; it's something that a criminal would do. Scary? Sure, you're getting kidnapped!
 
I have to ask that whether someone would be justified in violently resisting a masked ICE agent who didn’t carry any identification or identify themselves. Anyone know?

Well, what is clear is that you can't be charged and convicted of resisting arrest if they didn't prove they had any policing authority.

No badge, no ID, no warrant and no face to photograph ?!!?

"Sorry your honor, I really had no idea who the **** that was."

Case dismissed!

I saw a video where some guy dressed in pants that weren’t even belted trying to break a guys window after he asked for credentials and the guy drove on the sidewalk and fled. I don’t blame him and they did not look like agents to me
 
If a police officer pulls me over asking me to do something, it's "yes officer" and I'm complying.

If plains clothed people in masks jump out of an unmarked van and try to pull me into the van, I'm fighting and probably shooting because I have zero idea wtf those people are.

If a masked person claiming to be ICE but providing no credentials attempts to kidnap someone, that person should be ready to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights to resist what they can only assume to be a violent criminal.
 
It didn't end well in Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Russia, occupied France, Northern Ireland, Paraguay, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Haiti, Lebanon, Israel, Iran, China, the Phillipines, Indonesia, occupied Manchuria, occupied Belgium, occupied Poland, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Albania, Italy, Greece, Portugal, Libya, Algeria, French Algeria, Morocco, Western Sahara, Congo-Zaire, South Africa, Rhodesia/Zimbabwe...you get the picture.
 

People have been impersonating law enforcement officers to nefarious ends long before ICE agents started wearing masks to keep themselves from being doxxed for doing their jobs.

How many people would be able to tell the difference between a real ICE agent and a fake one, with or without a badge or a face mask?
 
Except there is zero evidence they are being threatened or doxxed.

Yes - that's why legitimate law enforcement officers have their badges and faces on full display, their ID at the ready, and their names on their uniforms. They're never afraid of being doxxed for doing their jobs, because they aren't breaking the law while doing it.

The beauty of ID's, name tags, badges and faces is that they can all be recorded. The purpose of the now ubiquitous body-cams is not just to protect the police against perpetrators and assist in their prosecution. It's also to protect the public from the police.

That is a good question.
It's a matter of when, not if, it will happen.
 
ICE is required to identify themselves as all law enforcement officers are.

Why are you spreading blatant lies?
 

How come other LEOs aren’t scared of being doxxed? No, they’re wearing masks to try to intimate people. The people are under no obligation to comply with Trump’s masked thugs if they won’t identify themselves.
 

It won't stop until some white MAGA voters start getting tangled up in these dragnets by mistake.

ICE is required to ID themselves during an arrest and if you have proof of them not doing so then show me where they haven't.
