ICE is arresting migrants in worksite raids. Employers are largely escaping charges.

If they're working and have clean records, why deport them? Give them a path to citizenship We're at 1.6 children per woman. This is unsustainable. We need immigrants.
That is the fatal flaw of global expansionist capitalism.

It requires selling more things to more people more times to function.

Japan is also at 1.6. And their real estate values have gone through the floor.

I find it kinda amusing that we have an overpopulation problem that if solved will wreck our economic system.

To quote Rise Against “Expecting to grow to infinity is like building a boat designed to sink.”

No, verifying that employees are authorized to work in the US by completing an I9 form - and signing an I9 attesting to have verified such under penalty of law - is legally required.

I never said utilizing everify was required.

That’s your strawman.
Filling out an I-9 isn't verification. For that you need everify.

"For I-9 Form, no social security number is required. Asking a potential employee to provide a social security card for I-9 purposes might even constitute a substantive violation. On the other hand, the social security number is a must for the E-Verify procedure;
To complete I-9 Form, the acceptable documents do not necessarily need to have a photo. For E-Verify, that is a must"

The I-9 Form is blame shifting for open borders to the employer.

Actually, allowing them to die in custody at miserable, inadequate facilities is an excellent way of instilling fear. we are seeing more of it.

Thanks to the reconciliation bill, we will have an archipelago of such gulags.
And it's only going to get worse. Amerikkka will be known for our con-centration camps.

😂😂😂

An employee has a variety of documents they can provide that proves work authorization.

A social security card, a birth certificate, an EIN number.

A US passport meets both the identity verification AND work authorization requirements.

The same exact documents that meet I9 requirements meet everify requirements.

You can run around the Internet and try to disprove my points all day if you’d like. It’s obvious you’ve never hired anyone whereas I have hired thousands - if not tens of thousands - of individuals and filled out more I9 forms and used Everify more times than I care to even remember.

The EMPLOYER is LIABLE AND RESPONSIBLE for making sure the individuals they are employing are legally eligible to work in the US.

So it's OK if they commit identity theft by stealing SS numbers, as long as they dont get caught and thus have a "clean record"? Alrighty then.

For I-9 Form, no social security number is required.
It is if they dont have a valid passport or certain other documents, most of which a non-U.S. citizen would not have.

I have found no such requirement for an I9 in my research. Please provide a link.

You can research all you want, or you can take it from someone who works in HR and does I-9's on a consistent basis.
