And even if Democrats sweep...so what? There is no legislative immunity from Federal prosecution that protects the political opposition from trumped-up charges in other countries. Trump can just have Democrats arrested for any number of spurious reasons. And even if they impeach and convict him, if he refuses to leave, what can be done?
