I think most people in Qanon are just assholes. They don’t actually believe it.

The HBO documentary series on Q is wild, a bunch of nerds wanting to believe.
 
I think the media is wrong to make them look like victims. They didn’t fall down a rabbit hole. They’re just pathological liars. Sadly there’s a lot in the world. That’s why theres so many problems. People like that never go away.

Who in the media is making QAnon believers look like victims?
 
In a nation were people believe Jesus spoke to them because his likeness was burned into a piece of bread, we cannot be so dismissive of the outright lunacy people are willing to believe.
 
there is more than just one group of people who represent the Q nut jobs. heck, it's people like this too...



 
I think we need to differentiate between someone who actually believes it and someone who chooses to believe it

I don't really know that I've seen anybody in the media trying to make them out to be victims. They can still be degenerate assholes and fools at the same time.

I think when they do that thing where they interview former Qanon members is what I’m talking about. They’re giving them the benefit of doubt instead of holding them fully accountable for what they did or believed. Like there was housewife they interviewed and I got that impression.
 
They’re like “Oh well she’s just a dumbass. Poor thing.” I don’t think so.

I think that still holds true even. I mean just because they attacked the capital doesn’t have to mean they believed in Qanon. They were just using that as an excuse for the awful people they are on the inside.
 
They didn’t get what they wanted and so they had a tantrum. Narcissists are drawn to conspiracies because it makes them feel like things are not their fault. That they don’t have to do things to make the world better.

I have always believed that. They are mostly taking after Trump. They can lie and be stupid all they want until they cross the line like Jan. 6th. Then they become criminals.

Stupidity. Gullibility. Their idiot friends think that way. The effects of hearing the same nonsense on talk radio and Fox News turn out to have a powerful effect on the weak-minded.
 
It's weird, it's like the Tea Parties on steroids. I wonder what it will morph into now?
