I just returned from 10 years in fascist China. That's what's going on. Russia and China are taking advantage of America's decline. Quite a bit of the world is fed up with the USG being the global hegemon.
None of the above should be the global hegemon because there should be no global hegemon. The domination and competition model is literally killing us.

You say the identical thingys they parrot over there.
It's the Russophile perpetual wet dream stuff of course.
Antidemocracy is what the whole of it is.
Germany this year got read the Riot Act by NATO led by the United States. This is because the German model of Russia relations is a complete failure; a miserable disaster; both pathetic and dangerous. It was significant in enabling Russia to finance and execute its invasion of democratic Ukraine.I am sorry, but this is total ignorance to what has happend in Germany and in the EU and in Europe for the last four decades, politically and financially. I don't know what to say and I haven't got the time to write the 4 page post it would take to give an overview. It is safe to say that Nordstream is not everything and all things. It would be the same as saying that Hollywood is every and al thing about the US because that is what most of us know about and have a view on here in Europe. The focus from the US on Nordstream over the years is very much because US has had politics and financial interests connected to Nordstream.
Ridiculus.....May be the word that will be thrown between us from now on.
Yet you refuse in the absolute to admit the patently obvious: You are a Russophile.I am for just (as in justice) power for the people, and that includes powerful people, IF they're using just powers and not using unjust powers. That is not the current case.
I am for human rights for every human. I am for environmental wisdom.
The American political system and American way of life has some good to them, but that good is either false propaganda or overwhelmed by the bad things in the American political system and American way of life.
Yet you refuse in the absolute to admit the patently obvious: You are a Russophile.
Antidemocracy.
AntiWest.

Wake me when you're finished plse thx.And too much may be made of "nordstream". There is a "nordstream" in every aspect of life. We- as individuals or nations- are almost never self sufficient. And even if self sufficient at a particular level, further progress or further acquisition of the wealth usually entails needs and demands that have to be gotten from somewhere else. More often that not the resources to meet that demand belong to parties not under one's control, or even parties with which one is in a state of hostilities. Humans continue to trade. Hostile parties find ways to negotiate and obtain from each other what they need. The so called win win solution. It is not often one has the luxury of selecting who one does business with.
The fact of the matter is that after everything is said and done commodities from Russia which the west needs will find their way to Europe; be it through middlemen, or Russia simply selling to say China; freeing up middle east to sell more to Europe.
There will always be "nordstreams". For the simple reason that self sufficiency acts against a vibrant free market. A vibrant free market generates demand.
No offense taken because you're blatantly obvious in your being Antidemocracy. No offense: That's an absurd and incorrect conclusion based on bogus binary logic.
Wake me when you're finished plse thx.
Your post I responded to said nothing about that. You manage to sleep through the Russian canon fire in Mariupol? You gotta be kidding me. It is mini Stalingrad there. The last stand of the Azov battalion.
No offense taken because you're blatantly obvious in your being Antidemocracy.
Alas, as I couldn't help but notice from more than a few thousand posts ago you need improvement when it comes to analysis, synthesis, evaluation.Pardon my while I listen to today's broadcast of "Democracy Now!"
Edit: It's been superseded by the "Justice" hearing.

I'm trying to be polite btw. So I'll try harder now....
Those are the three higher elements of Bloom's six elements to his definitive Education Taxonomy used to evaluate learners progress and development. The three lower elements btw are knowledge, understanding, comprehension. To get to the higher three components one must master the lower three. Still others however never get past the bottom three.
Of course recognizing the problem is the first step to acquiring the three higher functions.
Well now that's a three-fer: Antidemocracy, Anti-intellectual, Anti NATO.^ Sticks their pinky out when sipping tea, and is stocked up on Grey Poupon.

Within a few years Ukrainians will constitute a powerful voting block in Germany.
AfD benefiting from all this is a big risk that shouldn't be taken lightly. If the German economy takes a big hit, it's almost a guarantee that they'd at least see a surge in east Germany (which is their stronghold),I agree with you completely... and I'm also fearful that as these difficulties go on and are exasperated by the strains on the German economy brought on by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, that the end result will play into the hands of extremist parties like the far-right AfD.
Inside and outside the EU we are constantly expecting Germany to always take the biggest burden and even though they do, it is never enough. Germany is no longer the economic wonder it was before 1989. We have squeezed out the prosperity and if we continue we might break them, and what then? Here are some examples:
- In 1991 taxes were raised and the so-called solidarity allowance ("Soli") was introduced- in practice increased income and corporation tax to get the east Germany in line with the western.
- Germany is the country that contributes most of the money to the EU yet the countries that get's the most like Poland and Hungary (per capita Hungary get's the most, 568 euro plus per person, Poland get's the most money, about 18 billions euro every year) hasn't done the investments needed and continue to be subject to corruption. And nothing ever change, it has been this way since 2004.
- During the war in Syria, Germany was one out of two EU countries that had to take the bulk of the refugees, since others refused
- Germany has been the biggest financial contributer to the Ukraine since 2014, yet everyone seems to think that Germany needs to give even more, and more, and more...
- Germany has taken the bulk of the cost for the sanctions in west, yet we somehow expect them to take even more costs, which entails the consequence that they should even accept a society without electricity before we think they given enough.
- Countries , like Greece and Italy that has misconducted their economy rely on support from Germany in order to get on their feets.
And so on, and so on, and so on.
I agree with you completely... and I'm also fearful that as these difficulties go on and are exasperated by the strains on the German economy brought on by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, that the end result will play into the hands of extremist parties like the far-right AfD.
What we need to be doing in the West right now - especially oil & natural gas exporting countries like the US, Canada, and Norway - is to try to put together some kind of Marshall Plan for energy to keep countries like Germany on-side in standing up to the Russians. It's one thing to talk about standing up to Putin.... but unless the burden of doing so is shared equally, that is all it is... just talk.
When Germany became an economic powerhouse it was time to end access to the US piggy bank.
Maybe it's now time to end access to the German piggy bank.
That's right...and we did a good thing for all of Europe. But that was nearly 80 years ago. I'm thinking Europe has had enough time to recover by now.Nobody forced the US to do anything.
The reason you helped Germany was so that Europe would recover and become consumers for US products and we have.
The Globalists don't want that to happen and the last time someone just talked about pulling that support, the entire globalist world targeted him for destruction. The US could have pulled all support from Europe at any time and nobody could have stopped you so why are you moaning about it now?

But I'm not moaning about it. I only mentioned that to illustrate the similar position that Germany...according to the OP...is in.
So, Peter, do you want to get back on topic? Or do you want to keep talking about the US? Your call.
But if you keep talking about the US, you'll be dismissed. Fair warning.
I was completely on topic...talking about Germany.I replied to an off-topic discussion you started and are now continuing.
Also, this is an open forum and you can't dismiss anyone.
If you have a problem with me by all means stick me on ignore or simply not answer.
