Kay Bailey Hutchinson has been planning on leaving the Senate this year so she could concentrate on her effort to run for Governor in 2010. Republicans, worried that Democrats may snag that seat in a special election, thus giving them their 60 seat supermajority, are leaning heavily on her to stay as long as she can. Hutchinson is now reconsidering. I like that Because it will give Kinky Friedman a head start in campaigning. This time, Kinky has a better shot, and I hold out hope that he will be our next Governor. Come 2011, the Texas Jewboys will be partying in Austin. :)
