Husband admits adding cocaine, MDMA to wife's Cokes in hopes he would marry her daughter

How did she not taste the MDMA? Tastes terrible, according to long ago memories of a wilder youth. And the coke would noticeably numb up mouth and throat, perhaps even increase acid reflux.

He also confessed that he put the drugs in the drink to "eventually kill (her)," according to the document.​

Yeah, so...that's not how anything works. At best, you had her wondering why it seemed like a particularly good day, and then later, why it seemed like a particularly crappy evening.

"Alfred would then sprinkle some of the white powder in (his wife's) Coca-Cola can and then wait for her to fall asleep," the affidavit says​

Which is the opposite of what cocaine and MDMA, especially together, do.

Sorry, I have some 'rural folk' on my dad's side that I happened to see at a reunion down south this year after many years.
Still the nicest, down to earth folk you'll meet. Simple folk.

Oh, absolutely. The thing is that as a percentage, the percentage of messed up folks in rural areas is a lot higher due to their not getting their social needs met.

Maybe it's just me but I don't think the best way to seduce someone is by killing their mum.

Then again I'm not a master seducer so I could be wrong.

The mum dies under mysterious circumstances and 'you' console the sibling. And then?...(or was it already going down, and she knew?)
Simple really. But guess he was too simple to figure out how to pull it off..

That is absolute nonsense. I've lived in several large US cities, and I've chosen to live the rest of my life in rural America. The number of crazies looks pretty constant to me, across America. There may be some fluctuation from one state to another - I have suspicions that Oklahoma may harbor more crazies than some other states. But, it's probably not more than a few percentage points. (Be careful if you travel the Cimarron!)
 

Welp, you sure stepped into it with that generalization...hehe... Maybe don't do that. A lot of good people live in rural areas, and even the shitty ones aren't trying to marry their daughters in anything other than an outlier situation.

Unless, of course, this was a clever attempt to do a UNO reverse on the dummies that attempt to generalize all immigrants by posting a headline about one guy doing something awful, in which case nice job, if a little too subtle.

Same here. I lived in the suburbs of Orange County, CA for decades and we decided to move to rural New Zealand, which means nobody around, and love it.
