'Huge gaps' in Clinton email record, Benghazi probe chief says
By Lisa Lambert and Timothy Gardner
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Huge gaps exist in the emails former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has provided to a congressional committee investigating the 2012 attack on a U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, the panel's chairman said on Sunday.
Republican Representative Trey Gowdy said his committee lacked documentation from Clinton's trip to Libya after the attack despite a popular photo image of her using a handheld device during a flight to that country.
"We have no emails from that day. In fact we have no emails from that trip," said Gowdy, who heads the committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. "There are huge gaps."
Widely considered the frontrunner for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination, Clinton used a private email account for all official business as President Barack Obama's secretary of state from 2009 to 2013.
I am a long term Democrat and I find it outrageous that Hillary did such a thing as a private email for the Dept of State, and I hear it was even an anonymous name on the email.Seems like every day that passes, it gets worse and worse for Hillary on this email thing. This is the latest story published by today by Reuters, and it don't look good for the presidential hopeful.

Hillary really blew this as it was plain stupid and senseless.A Clinton aide would not say Thursday how many e-mails were withheld or describe the process used to decide which were purely personal.
Of the e-mails that were turned over to State, the Clinton aide said, 90 percent were correspondence between Clinton and agency employees using their regular government e-mail accounts, which end in state.gov.
The remaining 10 percent were communications between Clinton and other government officials, including some at the White House, along with an unknown number of people “not on a government server,” the aide said. The aide requested anonymity because the e-mails are not yet public.....snip~

BENGHAZIIIIiiiIII!!!!11!11!!!!1
What difference does it make?
Does it?
You tell me. I asked first.
She was right. It made no difference what reason was used to start it. Just another right-wing whine.
Well, I was painting that quote to the article. The gaps in emails that should have been turned over. Ones that would include Benghazi to name just one incident. This is a serious matter and shouldn't be reduced.

So far her defenders are playing-down the subject as if it is just emails, but it is so much more, as it is a violation of trust, and it is really a violation of the Dept of State.
She gives no explanation and no apology and she really says nothing, so I judge her as wanting and as guilty.
I wish that Elizabeth Warren would run against Hillary for President in the Primary and then we Democrats could vote against Hillary.

Well you would be right if Clintons statement: "Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided they'd go kill some Americans" represented accurate alternatives. It didn't. The other possibility that she didn't mention (because it was the truthful one) was that it was a planned terrorist attack against an American installation. And that does matter and does make a difference.
There are several threads on the emails. I've made my case in some of them. I'm not happy about her using private emails. I think it was wrong and I've got issues with it. The OP started this thread to push Benghazi... and it should be reduced.
Those huge gaps impact the Benghazi investigation. The investigation is still happening. It is clear that the commission charged to do the investigation wasn't given all of the information. For the people who feel that Benghazi is a right wing talking point; this new evidence makes their case weaker.
Where there is smoke, there is fire.

Oh, that gap? That 13 minute gap? Yeah, that's um . . . Richard Nixon.
Oh that gap? That massive gap in the email history, that's umm . . . Hillary Clinton.
Oh that noise you hear? Oh that's umm, the fine grained scrubbing of emails.
Indeed it is. A breach of faith, and a breach of trust. Not things that qualify someone for the presidency.
Hey there MMC. As I observed for Pete in another thread, without a computer forensics examination of Hillary's private email server we'll never know if ALL of the emails were disclosed, and even with a computer forensics examination maybe then not either. Without that, we are all left to just believe what she tells us, and she's got 35 years of colorful history, secrecy, obscuring, shady deals and activities that work against her being believed, whic is to say, not at all.
My dearest Rob,
In this case it just so is not. Please see post #4.
It is as JP Cusick states. It's a breach of trust and a breach of faith, neither of which are acceptable in a presidential candidate much less a president.
Greetings, Erik. :2wave:
I do still hope that she explains why she felt it was necessary. If it was for self-preservation in a hostile environment, I might believe that. Otherwise, chalk it up to my curiosity getting the better of me where money might be involved.

Reminds me of the stupid Gary Hart who was the Democratic front runner in 1987 who was so stupid that he simply smiled for the camera = PICTURE.
It is a different kind of stupid but still Hillary has now equaled the stupidity.
