Like the title asks, How will you react when Trump is indicted?

I don't know how the prosecutions will play out, but in the least, Trump is exposed to very serious charges stemming from the Mar-a-Lago documents and Trump's obstructions related thereto. [See 18 USC 793] Every knowledgeable person asked about this "affair" declares they would already be in prison if they had done what Trump did with those obviously Top Secret documents.

I should probably go first. Mainly, I would react with relief. Finally Trump may be held accountable for his actions. That's all. The idea of justice may be restored by at least some amount. I say "may" because indictment just means an upcoming trial. I'm confident the evidence will be overwhelming. Hopefully the jury will perform its duty faithfully.

I’ll say “good,” because it’ll mean that some of our institutions are still working, and that we’re not too afraid of indicting somebody for crimes lest it lead to political violence.

I will be very surprised if there is anything at all, anywhere.

For most of the things he accused, Trump is for real innocent. If there had been any shred of criminal activity the Mueller group would have pounced on it. The 6 January stuff is fluff and mirrors with no substance.

I would not have much reaction. It’s good for the wheels of justice to turn, so there’s that, however at least in the short term it won’t affect my day-to-day all that much.

My main reaction would be to be a bit more wary of and attentive to the presence of any nearby MAGA. Trump leads a personality cult masquerading as a political party, and cult members can do some crazy stuff in reaction to their leader being jailed. In my area there aren’t a lot of MAGA, but as the recent episode in SF shows, there are a few.

I will not react.

There is nothing to react to.

We are not children.

It will be something like the O.J. Simpson jury. Some ladies on that jury honestly admitted that they were simply not going to convict him.

Well, no jury in D.C. or New York City will ever acquit Trump. Just the thought of him drives some potential jurors to the edge of insanity.

His tragedy is that he naively thought that he could win against the Deep State.

He lost that bet.

How about a side indictment of Hillary Clinton for having a private email server with classified documents that she wiped clean with Bleach Bit and refused to turn over under court order? Oh well she's a Democrat let's just let it go then.

Honestly? Surprised.

I don't think it'll happen.

Good point. Trump should plead “But Hillary” when he’s in court.

Be relived and laugh at how far America has fallen

It shall be known as the "But Hillary" defense. Or "Selective Prosecution" as defined in United States vs. Armstrong 517 U.S. 456 (1996)

Sure, and Trump’s attorney may attempt that, and the judge will say “denied.”

When they say races, they don't mean presidential campaigns. Lol.

No, they mean races like poor non-whites. Trump would have to swear under oath that he identifies as a black person. Or maybe an Asian who knows. Elon Musk rocks because he can honestly identify as an African American.

That would be sincerely funny if the original claim weren't so pathetic. It gets five icons, anyway. Good job shifting into reverse.

I will wear my red t-shirt with blue and white stars and blue denim shorts if it happens during a warm month. If it happens on a cold day, I will have to put on my Ohio State Buckeyes sweatshirt and jeans to wear red, white, and blue. So I hope it happens during a warm month. (Yes, some days are cold where I live.)

Before posting anything here, I will watch CNN and MSNBC, regardless of how I first learn it happened.

If Trump wants to piss off the judge then that’s his prerogative. It worked well enough for Brooks.

There's always the next higher up judge as everybody knows.

It looks like you’ve already accepted that he’s going to be found guilty.

He was found guilty in the media before any indictment ever was drawn up. What does that tell you?
