So in order not to be racist we have to stop ALL races from getting banned guns.
So in order not to be racist we have to stop ALL races from getting banned guns.
Indeed. Just like how we strictly enforce anti-drug laws equally against people of all ethnicities and socioeconomic classes with equal severity.
You are missing the point, or intentionally avoiding the issue.
We know beyond all doubt that the US has the largest criminal justice system on the planet, and we also are the incarceration capital of the plant. With that we also know that minorities are more likely to be arrested, convicted, and serve longer terms for crimes in comparison to their white counterparts. Every iteration of 'tough on crime' thinking ends up going after minorities first with the most impact. Socially and economically disastrous for entire segments of our society.
What makes you think gun control legislation will be applied any differently?
Democrats and Republicans will never admit to their partisan hypocrisy.
The NRA Supported Gun Control When the Black Panthers Had the Weapons
So arm BLM to get the NRA on board with gun control ?
Did you not read? NRA already supported gun control in the past at the behest of Herr Reagan. Why would I support gun control if it was supported by the NRA and Herr Reagan?
Because:
We want gun control
The NRA is a powerful opponent of gun control
But the NRA used to support gun control "when the Black Panthers had the weapons" (according to your link)
So, in order to get the NRA to support gun control again...
...we should arm the BLM movement.
This is literally a case study in circular reasoning, thank you for providing one for the audience.
How so ?
If the NRA supported gun control (according to you) when black militant groups had them
Why might the NRA not support gun control again, if we arm a black militant group from today (ie : the BLM movement) ?
Here's a short, but very good video by Colion Noir regarding gun control and racism and how they are connected. Has some nice footage of Malcolm X, Otis McDonald (who sued the City of Chicago, a case which eventually went to the supremes) and a younger Joe Biden saying Joe Biden-like things.

This is the common law for the common defense, secured by our Second Article of Amendment:Here's a short, but very good video by Colion Noir regarding gun control and racism and how they are connected.
