Here's a short, but very good video by Colion Noir regarding gun control and racism and how they are connected. Has some nice footage of Malcolm X, Otis McDonald (who sued the City of Chicago, a case which eventually went to the supremes) and a younger Joe Biden saying Joe Biden-like things.

So in order not to be racist we have to stop ALL races from getting banned guns.

Indeed. Just like how we strictly enforce anti-drug laws equally against people of all ethnicities and socioeconomic classes with equal severity.

You are missing the point, or intentionally avoiding the issue.

We know beyond all doubt that the US has the largest criminal justice system on the planet, and we also are the incarceration capital of the plant. With that we also know that minorities are more likely to be arrested, convicted, and serve longer terms for crimes in comparison to their white counterparts. Every iteration of 'tough on crime' thinking ends up going after minorities first with the most impact. Socially and economically disastrous for entire segments of our society.

What makes you think gun control legislation will be applied any differently?

So anti drug laws are not racist...even if the majority of people caught smuggling them might be Hispanic.

I'm not sure that black convicts are handed harsher sentences for the same crime as non-black convicts...

But even if that were the case, you still couldn't argue that the law racist, only that judges were.

So arm BLM to get the NRA on board with gun control ?

Did you not read? NRA already supported gun control in the past at the behest of Herr Reagan. Why would I support gun control if it was supported by the NRA and Herr Reagan?

Because:

We want gun control
The NRA is a powerful opponent of gun control
But the NRA used to support gun control "when the Black Panthers had the weapons" (according to your link)

So, in order to get the NRA to support gun control again...

...we should arm the BLM movement.

This is literally a case study in circular reasoning, thank you for providing one for the audience.

How so ?

If the NRA supported gun control (according to you) when black militant groups had them

Why might the NRA not support gun control again, if we arm a black militant group from today (ie : the BLM movement) ?

Thanks for sharing. There is definitely some very strange racial double standards when it comes to gun ownership, but I didn't realise it had such a long history (although it's kind of obvious when you think about it).

African Americans, Latinos and Indians commit far more crimes per 100,000 people of their race than whites. But, the police arrest them and kill far fewer than whites. So what kind of racism are you talking about? In the US, a radical decision needs to be made - to allow drugs and ban weapons. Legalizing drugs will reduce crime. Especially among African Americans. Then the police will no longer need weapons and violence. But, at the same time, it is necessary to introduce a ban on the use of drugs for working people, as well as for people receiving unconditional income. While all drug addicts should be sent to compulsory treatment. This radical approach will solve all problems with the police force against colored and white people.

This is the common law for the common defense, secured by our Second Article of Amendment:

The defense and protection of the state and of the United States is an obligation of all persons within the state. The legislature shall provide for the discharge of this obligation and for the maintenance and regulation of an organized militia.

Great video, historically true and factual. This is exactly why the 2nd Amendment is important and must stay intact.
