Love this!
Her employment prospects are extremely limited, forever.I feel so sad... for her former employer.
They also have the right to discharge employees that damage their reputation. What everyone needs to do is to stand united against censorship! Demand that employers have the right to keep the employees who work well FOR THEM!
I realize that online bullies make it hard for an employer to stand up to them. Bullying works. Bullying gets you elected President. They also have the right to discharge employees that damage their reputation.
If I owned the company I would turf this lady the minute I saw this video.
"Purity"? Give me a break. The lady is a vile bigot who referred to people as "subhuman".I realize that online bullies make it hard for an employer to stand up to them. Bullying works. Bullying gets you elected President.
but a company that stands by its people and accepts political refugees of all stripes could be a great and noble enterprise that will stand out from all the rest of commerce and shows the world a new way. It would be remarkable by its rarity, its purity, and its justice.
Hamilton police have suspended a longtime officer while they review his social media posts, which include content re-shared from far-right groups, anti-immigrant messages and posts in support for a coup against the government.
Following a CBC visual investigation into white nationalist "active clubs" training in the Hamilton area, a reader contacted CBC Hamilton to share they had noticed a social media user with the same name as a Hamilton constable, Renato Greco, reposting extremist content.
Police are different in that in some sense they are never truly off duty: they aren't supposed to turn a blind eye to crimes, and have certain legal protections, for example. And there is a very deep focus on their credibility in court. I'm not going to make a conclusion about that issue yet, but returning to the case in this post:In news that's somewhat related a cop from my little corner of the planet is suspended while his online posts are investigated.
Well she is talking about family separation.I despise this kind of bullying, and I deeply regret that so many employers are unable to hold a line in support of their own right to decide on who works for them.
The video showed an obviously spliced sentence about who she finds to be subhuman (they even give a different form with a different beginning to the quote later on!) I still have no idea who she was really talking about - her sole "mistake" was to use the word "subhuman". And they take this in order to enforce ONE CLEAR POLICY THEY BELIEVE IN.
That policy is that PEOPLE SHOULD BE AFRAID TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY POLITICAL OR PERSONAL CONVERSATION ANYWHERE WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING ALWAYS THAT THEY ARE THE CHATTEL SLAVES OF THEIR EMPLOYER AND SPEAK ONLY FOR THEIR EMPLOYER, who has sole decision-making power over what can be said - in theory - but is itself in fact at the mercy of any online bully who can get enough of an audience.
This kind of persecution is the sort of thing that built Trump's base and caused the deportations that this private intelligence agency pretends to despise. They don't really want anything but their own power and reach.
What everyone needs to do is to stand united against censorship! Demand that employers have the right to keep the employees who work well FOR THEM! We have seen what happens when you make every economic enterprise subordinate to secret police and trumped-up political arguments ... in the Soviet Union. That is not the America we want.
What...Police are different in that in some sense they are never truly off duty: they aren't supposed to turn a blind eye to crimes, and have certain legal protections, for example. And there is a very deep focus on their credibility in court. I'm not going to make a conclusion about that issue yet, but returning to the case in this post:
* I don't know WHO she called "subhuman" or why. I have to go, but the video gives two different splices of the same quote! I am not going to benefit-of-the-doubt these Inquisitors and just assume she made that as a racially or even nationally discriminatory statement based on their say-so. I simply don't trust them.
* The Old Deal was called wage slavery. For eight hours a man was a tool at the beck and call of the employer, judged for any disloyalty. But when he went home, he was his own person. Provided whatever trouble he got into didn't land him in jail, it wasn't the employer's problem. And the employer could be relieved not to have to hire a legion of consultants to look over every stray comment a man made in a bar.
* This "Deal" is called just plain slavery. Where every word a person offers anywhere, everything they do, everything they buy, or like, is all supposed to be evaluated by the employer or its all-seeing AI, to lead to their subjugation in every instant of their lives.
* And let's not forget: Trump 2028 is starting with you and the people like you who are willing to countenance despicable cancel mobs driving the ordinary worker into a condition of slavery, and the ordinary employer into the unwanted role of slave-master. By accepting such tactics, you make a revolt against them inevitable. Pretend you are the Israelis and Trump is Hamas, and then you might tell yourself, "Look what you made them do!"
TL : DR for his last post.What...
I've dealt with people like him. Just streams gushing out going in all directionsTL : DR for his last post.
"See! Demonrats are doxxing innosint MAGAmerikuns. That's why ICE need to ware masxs. Libtards! Free speach!"Trump supporters in action once again. Who will be the first trump supporter on here to come back with but Democrats....
But she's been accepted as an ICE candidate..."Purity"? Give me a break. The lady is a vile bigot who referred to people as "subhuman".
No professional employer would keep her around.
But you think it's OK when people advocate for separating families, and call immigrants "subhuman?"I despise this kind of bullying...
There was no deceptive editing. The video showed an obviously spliced sentence about who she finds to be subhuman....
Migrant families that get separated by ICE.I still have no idea who she was really talking about....
While I do have some sympathy for this view, you're forgetting a few things. That policy is that PEOPLE SHOULD BE AFRAID TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY POLITICAL OR PERSONAL CONVERSATION ANYWHERE WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING ALWAYS THAT THEY ARE THE CHATTEL SLAVES OF THEIR EMPLOYER AND SPEAK ONLY FOR THEIR EMPLOYER,

This vile bigot and her defenders are the MAGA base. It's what it means to be MAGA. They are about being mean to others - the worse the better - attacking anything that is not them and supporting the most atrocious actions imaginable. I can't find any exceptions. They're the fuel that energizes the fascist state. They display it here and everywhere. But you think it's OK when people advocate for separating families, and call immigrants "subhuman?"

Migrant families that get separated by ICE.
Is there some group of humans that you DO think it's acceptable to call "subhuman?"
While I do have some sympathy for this view, you're forgetting a few things.
1. There is more than one right at play here. It isn't just freedom of speech, it's freedom of association. While respect for civil rights does curtail the right of association, ultimately companies are allowed to fire employees whom they see as not respecting their values or make the company look bad.
2. "Freedom of speech" does not mean "freedom from consequences."
Sorry, but no. Dear Leader is capitalizing on the bigotry of many Americans, and their general ignorance of politics, not their distaste for companies firing employees that go viral.
