I believe all ideas that don't promote blood shed should be allowed into the marketplace of ideals. Let them hash it out and may the best idea win.

If the promotion of atheism eradicates Christianity from off the face of the earth, then so be it. If Christ is real then The Faith is His to preserve anyway.

If proclaiming the Gospel eradicates atheism then so be it. If there is no God then what rises and falls in society is nothing more than part of the natural process.

Freedom of expression is what's most important to me in this matter.

Sure it is important, as long as it doesnt infringe on other peoples freedoms and specifically privacy and security rights.

For example, talking about another persons personal information(SSN etc), yelling fire in a theater, yelling or being obstructive in public spaces etc.

What about saying "God Bless You" in a grocery store?

What about preaching on a street corner?

My vote would be both of the above examples should be fine. If someone does not like hearing something in a store they can go to a different store.

That's hate speech. Some people are offended by Religion, and you're "preaching" is merely inciting hate against people that don't share your religious views.

Keep your preaching in your church, preferably a church that doesn't allow children under 16 so as to not brainwash the young with hate.

Freedom of expression--yet you lead off with, as long as it doesn't lead to blood shed.---which is some peoples choice for freedom of expression. as History reminds us.

It may be speech that some do not like, but hard to see how it could be classified as hate speech.

If someone said if you do not believe in so and so then you deserve to be beaten, or you can't shop here if you are non believer that would be a different story.

What about saying "God Bless You" in a grocery store?
Sure, as long as the store owner either encourages it or is neutral. If I was this person's customer, I would be very mildly annoyed and would tend to choose to shop elsewhere, but wouldn't make a point of it.

What about preaching on a street corner?
Absolutely should be allowed. However, I also find this mildly annoying as well, and employ a mild tactic to express my disagreement with what the preacher is saying.

Do you think a grocery store clerk should be permitted to say "Satan's Blessing Be Upon You"?

It's our most important freedom and should be defended vigorously.

I vigorously exercise my "Freedom of Expression" Daily. ---It's my Job.--I'm a Pirtate

Just because you have the alleged "freedom" to "express" yourself doesn't mean that it matters. There are other means for filtering out undesirable opinions besides putting legal limits on your "freedoms".
