Dinner knives...in a drawer organizer with the forks and spoons. What do you all use to store your knives?
Maybe just the guard that comes with the knife? (If you're lucky enough to have one come with it)
Or maybe one of those drawer inserts?

This.I keep my various chefs knifes lined up in poly sheaths in a drawer.
I too use the wall mounted magnet, got rid of the knife block to save room on the countertop.Magnetic board affixed to the wall.
I also like it becasue I can spot the knife I want easily and there is no wear on the cutting edge like there is with a block.I too use the wall mounted magnet, got rid of the knife block to save room on the countertop.
In my ex's back...just kidding. In a wooden block. What do you all use to store your knives?

Which one to you have? Do you mind posting a link if you like it?Magnetic board affixed to the wall.
I wish I felt compelled to be that organized.I keep my various chefs knifes lined up in poly sheaths in a drawer.
This is very similar and I did get mine at William Sonoma but mine is a touch wider I think. I got the 18 inch....I have lots of knives!!!Which one to you have? Do you mind posting a link if you like it?
I don't like to get fingers cut off when I reach into the drawer, so I use poly sheaths. I have about 8 of them for my various big knives. I don't bother with a sheath for bread knives or paring knives.I wish I felt compelled to be that organized.
Thanks much. Like the idea of the woodThis is very similar and I did get mine at William Sonoma but mine is a touch wider I think. I got the 18 inch....I have lots of knives!!!
ETA My GF has a metal one, thin bar, very smart looking... but she found it "scratched" her knives which is why I went with wood. It's softer and doesn't mar the knives at all.
Williams Sonoma Wooden Magnetic Knife Rack, Maple
Our maple knife bar offers a sleek, seamless approach to knife storage that won't take up space on the countertop. A powerful magnet is embedded inside the maple, so all you see is the natural beauty of the wood.www.williams-sonoma.ca
The wood is quite smart in our kitchen given we live in a forest on a lake! Quite rustic. My avatar is a painting of our home. Thanks much. Like the idea of the wood

sounds a little gimmickySelf sharpening knife block.
I've been thinking more about doing something like this. just dedicating a single drawer to things that slice, dice, etcI keep my various chefs knifes lined up in poly sheaths in a drawer.
They are actually quite good and a bit on the expensive side; Henckels is the brand we have, but Wusthof is another well-known brand...both can be found in higher end cutlery stores, and both come with lifetime warranties.sounds a little gimmicky
