HOW AMERICA GOT MEAN - in a culture devoid of moral education, generations are growing up in a morally inarticulate, self-referential world.

Obamacare isn't Medicaid.

Giving handouts to able-bodied people who refuse to work is not kind to the people who are working and paying for it.

Exactly, removing health care for the unemployed is mean,

Thanks for the support of my statement

The myth of the “welfare queen” persists into 2025.

Never ceases to amaze me how cruel some people in this country are to those less fortunate than themselves.

You brought it up, not me. There are, as a matter of fact, millions of able-bodied people without dependents who are working less than 80 hours per month and collecting Medicaid. And we can have a long conversation about why merely having dependents should necessarily exempt you from any kind of work requirement whatsoever.

If that were not the case, you wouldn't have anything to worry about.

That's not what it is....stop lying.
All the hospital systems, etc are just saying “this is bad” for fun.

Just like all the meteorologists are saying “this is bad” about the DOD shutting off access to satellite imagery.

They’re ALL lying. The only person telling the truth is Trump.

We know. We have heard the song and dance before.

I said one person was lying. But you can throw a fit if you like. Be my guest.

You tell me. What does the bill actually say?

Would those not be unemployed people that you want on Medicaid, so if sick they can't access health care

Sorry (well, not really), I'm not playing your stupid word game. I didn't say "unemployed," you did.

Technology…..the world goes by as we are taking a selfie….

Are people who are not working employed or unemployed?

Just what is the difference

I'll let you figure it out. If you can't do that, there's no point talking to you about anything meaningful.

That amounts to less than $30/year for an individual tax payer who earns less than $65K.

Less than 5% of Medicaid enrollees are able bodied individuals who consistently work less than 80hrs a month.

A tax payer earning 65K a year pays about 5900 in Federal income taxes.

About .09/$1 of that funding goes to Medicaid - so about 590/year.

.05 of $590 = about $29.50

On average, a typical worker will physically work about 1880 hours in a year.

So, this is a cost of about .015/hr.

1.5 CENTS.

One group of people are working, ie employed

The other is not working ie unemployed.

The not working group typically does not have employer provided health care.

Now I don't know about you, but most people especially men don't go and abuse health care services. Why I expect most men aren't going in for prostate exams on a weekly basis just to waste medical services. You may be different, you may like prostate exams and waste health care services
