I'm a centrist. A horrible one. So center that I am grossly somewhere in between the notoriously hated equivocator that pleases no one and the guy that has strong opinions both ways.

The world needs more of people like me, I am so great, awesome and I am happy to try and coerce you to the correct side through the beauty of reason and rational debate.

Nah. Not the Dems. They are holding out hopes that the reasonable Republican politicians will cross the aisle to pass bipartisan legislation if the Democrats agree to throw trans people under the bus and provide unlimited funding to Israel to exterminate Palestinians.

The choice is between an America like the one I grew up in, and MAGA’s military-occupied, totalitarian, one-party state.

I stand with the centrists. Vote blue no matter who.

I’m talking about the national parties and party leadership. No Democratic Party Rep or Senator is out there calling the Republican Party evil.

Every SINGLE presidential election that I have voted in was a vote for the lesser of 2 evils or a third party candidate that has ZERO chance.

As such my reading of your post quoted above boils down to "When choosing between a pile of vomit or a pile of shit, one is always better so just choose your pile and dig in!"

they just constantly talk about how the republicans are about to end democracy and use rhetoric repeatedly to relate them to a group of political extremist who systematically murdered 10 million people. No evilness implied there. Nothing dangerous about that at all.

I have just one question: Are commas also disallowed? I hate the evil little suckers. Excommunicate them! Send them to that hell I don't believe exists! No one knows where to put the bloody things anyway.

The parties choose the candidates and when elected they are beholden to the Party. Our current demagogue created his own party within the Republican party and then took it over. Huey P. Long was not as successful with his "Share Our Wealth Society" .
