I think its pretty clear you've never experienced an event in your life that can make you lose most of your rationality. That or you're being a douche.

Well, that's not really what she said, now is it?
And actually, I find her statements bizarrely credible and persuasive.
At worst, I think her statements make clear that there were two distinct sides to this man, and she only ever knew the good one.
It's one thing to stick by a spouse who becomes disabled; quite another to voluntarily take over the care of a disabled person, and to love that person.
I'm sad for her, reading this.
Even if he did what the cops are saying, I wish they could've somehow taken him down without killing him.
Then of course, there's the fact that sometimes cops lie; more frequently, I believe, when it comes to black men.

Sure, she has been through an emotional trauma, but can you seriously tell me that she would have given the same answer any other day? If her fiance wasn't injured, just arrested, would she have felt any differently about it?

I don't believe it for a second.

I don't really see this as irrationality, in fact, if you read the article, her reactions are very rational and understandable. I don't see what she said as "He's a christians", I see it as "Impossible! No way! This couldn't have happened! WTF?" What's wrong is not her rationale, it's her conclusion. We would all act the same way if we were in her position probably. She isn't irrational, she's just wrong.

I don't see what she said as "He's a christians", I see it as "Impossible! No way! This couldn't have happened! WTF?" What's wrong is not her rationale, it's her conclusion. We would all act the same way if we were in her position probably. She isn't irrational, she's just wrong.

Since when is being wrong rational? Understandable yes, rational no. You see if she were rational, she would have changed her mind when faced with the new evidence of her husbands actions.

From webster, Rational: "having reason or understanding".

Doesn't mean the result is going to be right. From her most understandable reactions, it seems she never saw ANYTHING to suggest this would ever happen. She acted very rationally...from what she saw in the man.
