Hiring cops...

We need a higher standard when hiring cops. They need to be screened. They need a psych evaluation on their first interview... one that detects racism, fear, power tripping, logic, etc. I would rather there be 5 great cops that you can trust making a lot more money than 50 shit cops ****ing shit up being dickheads.

I can't speak for all departments but many have these mechanisms in place already. They are not foolproof and some people have and will continue to slip through the cracks.
 
Across the US, police departments are having a difficult time just hiring enough police to fill shifts. Where are all these wonderful applicants coming from? Used to be, every time they hired, they would get at least 100 applicants to choose from. Nowadays, it is a lot lower of a number. Maybe if we paid more...

If we pay more then we need better applicants... and psyche evaluations pre-hire.
