Trump did cause it.
The BIG LIE. - He insisted he won in a landslide and only lost thru massive voter fraud
He perpetuated this and launched laughable lawsuits, and scored a huge win in the biggest loser category with 60 consecutive losses.
he organized the rally, his former campaign people organized different groups to attend and ran logistics and financed the gig.
he chose the line up of speakers, designed to build up to his big climax
his rhetoric exorted them to fight (peacefully?) to save their nation and way of life. He boldly lied to that crowd that Pence could break his own oath and reject the election results.
He invited them to march up to the capitol WITH him.
And then there are all those videos of the lowlifes acting like lowlifes screaming about doing what the president told them to do. Meanwhile the MAGA auxillery fascist white nationalist scumbags and Qanon whack jobs were planning a violent assault on the capitol to overturn the election result as soon as Jan 6th was announced.
Nah, he did nothing. He's innocent. He never could of known that his most faithful followers would take his bullshit rhetoric seriously. Its not his fault he didn't bother with any security briefings about domestic terrorist activity, because of course he hasn't been getting them since he quit doing the job a few months ago.
He is impeached. And odds of him being convicted are better than fair. And after that the law suits will start. He'll be fighting in court for the rest of his natural life and he can only hope his legal track record improves.

No actually, that was only part of it. The MONTHS of the Big Lie. the MONTHS of we wuz robbed, stop the steal, save the country. Its a process he went thru.
I guess you didn't bother watching the trial. And as for the day. It was HIS RALLY. He invited the faithful to come and save america. He produced it. He knew exactly who was coming. He knew exactly what they were thinking. He spend four hours working them up and pointed them at the capitol. And while it was unfolding before our eyes, he did NOTHING. The lowlife didn't even lower the WH flag for three days.
Are you seriously saying he didn't incite the insurrection? Facts say otherwise.
