Here are a couple of examples of how our allies see Trump

Why is the US friends with countries that ban people for being mean?

People have the right to be mean. **** the UK and Germany for failing to understand that.

Oy vey.

Both the UK and Germany have chosen to diverge in a direction that will, in a few short years, render them unrecognizable as former Western European countries. Americans are fighting to keep Obama from forcing the US into that same 3rd world sewage pit.

America is going down the same PC censorship hellhole that the UK and Germany are in right now.

But, we're so great we don't care what other nations think, right? Right???

A big "who cares"?

whether or not you agree with Trump, we should not allow foreign leaders to influence our decision making in electing ours.

you know what the real test is? If Trump were elected would David Cameron maintain a ban on Trump? of course he wouldn't. It's a silly idea.

It's just like when people say "Well Netenyahu doesn't like Obama" I don't care about that either. I honestly couldn't care less that Obama cold shouldered Bibi either.

I have a tendency to be completely apathetic towards anything outside of the US when it comes to opinions about the US.

I would have thought that we have our own third world sector in the USA.

Well, it is interesting that Cameron should feel he must say something like that during the US campaign about someone that possibly could be leader of his country's probably closest ally. The nerves must be really on edge over there. This is not to say that Trump is not, what he is.

Obama has been very diligent about stealthily distributing his imports to every city and town in America precisely so that wouldn't happen, so that they couldn't be quarantined away by the Americans he hates so much.

The US bans thousands of people from the US every year and deny them their free speech.. hence the US does not believe in free speech either :)

British people think their former Prime Minister is a poodle and a bitch. So....why should we care what they think?

To an extent, you're correct. But I think it's the principal that I prefer to believe in, even if no one follows it.

Trump is an embarrassment. But that sorily is a lesser problem he presents.

and if Trump is elected president, he'll be a laughingstock among our friends and allies.

Is that what we really want?

You could change your post to read

Reagan turned out okay, but I don't think that the present international circumstances require a therein inexperienced President.

Trump is no Reagan, and he is inexperienced. Reagan had been governor of California before being elected president.

Are you suggesting that Reagan was a laughingstock? Did our allies discuss banning him from their countries?

Oh yes. The Europeans laughed about him a lot. They thought the US was bonkers.

Right. Give me one reason why I should care who Cameron or Merkel prefer as president of the US.

Not so much who they would "prefer" as who they think would be an absolutely absurd choice. The new POTUS will, after all, have to work with our allies.

I don't think the UK, or Germany, altered their political direction because we questioned their candidates, so I'm not sure why we should alter ours.

Why do you think WE should be worried about what other countries think of our leaders?
