A heart stent is minor and far less than a bypass. Ginsburg could live to 110.
If she retires or dies with Obama as president she'll just be replaced by a liberal judge.
It's a shame how political and biased the SCOTUS is. When the highest court of the land goes by politics and ideology over the word of law that is a major problem.
Regardless though, I wish her a speedy recovery.
Won't happen my friend. Obama could never get a liberal confirmed through a Republican Senate.
I apologize if someone already has started a thread on this......I wish Ginsburg no harm but it would be a huge boost for the GOP if she had to step down...

I think what you mean to say is that Obama cannot get AS LIBERAL a justice as he wants through a GOP senate.
I hope Justice Ginsburg has a speedy recovery. She doesn't seem to want to resign any time soon, but that's all right. At least her opinions are usually well reasoned and deserve respect, unlike Sonia "The Wise Latina" Sotomayor, who is an embarrassment to the Court. I doubt she will ever be be impeached, but the idea should be kept alive. I don't buy the argument that nothing like the impeachment of Justice Chase can ever happen again. Why the hell not? I think the threat of impeachment, for repeatedly making clearly unreasonable interpretations of the Constitution, should always be kept the back of every justice's mind.
If any Supreme Court justice does retire while this damned liar of a President is still taking up space in the White House, I hope the Republicans who will dominate the new Senate will refuse to confirm any nomination he makes to the Court that they do not agree with. Democrats are in no position to complain about being on the receiving end of that kind of rough tactics. They thought is was fair enough to sabotage Robert Bork, who was eminently qualified and one of the most distinguished nominees to the Court in the last century. And they thought it was fair enough to use vile personal attacks to try to keep Clarence Thomas off the Court, even though he has proven to be one of the sharpest legal minds --if not the sharpest--on it.
i don't relish the ill health of on any of the justices. it's Thanksgiving, FFS. can we have one ****ing day without this kind of crap? we all live in the first world, and it isn't that ****ing bad. enjoy some good food.
Stents are pretty easy, she'll be fine in a couple of days.
Wouldn't surprise me one bit if OP is chomping at the bit hoping she keels over and another judge will rule against SSM or some such.

I don't speak for the OP, but I doubt very much that is what he wants. But I hope very much that the Supreme Court will never cook up a constitutional "right" for homosexuals to marry each other. There is no such right, any more than there has ever been a constitutional right to abortion. That was concocted out of thin air in one of the Court's all-time worst turkeys, and I see no need to repeat the blunder.
Again a stent will help with her breathing but that is all....To get further relief she needs a bypass but they probably won't do one because of her age.
NP it ain't gonna matter. SSM or *any other pending case* will be decided a full 18 months before the next prez takes office. There is no way obama will risk being blamed for ruining equal rights in that way, even if she did step down.
you should stick to trolling; this is completely false statement of medical facts

Really, I have a stent and that is what my cardiologist told me............Do you know more then him?
"We have found in our long-term analysis that stents do provide a significant early and sustained reduction in the need for subsequent procedures to re-open the treated artery,"
