again-why should I-is the question
You already did.
Because we're a bunch of evil communists who want to steal your money to make your life miserable. Deal with it.
again-why should I-is the question
see my above response to Hazlnut
what part of the constitution properly allows that
Because other people NOT having healthcare will affect you and will cost you... under the current conditions. You end up paying either way, and there are far more controls to this payment if there are contributions by everyone. I'm sure you don't like that, but it's accurate. No one lives in a bubble.
The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

all that would be moot if the federal government had not engaged in this area and made us pay for others

You still haven't answered my question and provided a solution. Let me guess, you don't have one.
epic fail-its easy to see when someone has absolutely no understanding of the constitution. that concept of welfare is not income redistribution

Ronpaultopia never has existed, and never will exist, anywhere outside of your imagination. So we should have PRACTICAL methods of paying for things instead of impractical methods of paying for things.

Actually, all that would be moot if there were far more regulations on insurance company abuses, so they would actually listen to providers and allow customers to use their benefits appropriately. If THAT happened, other than the regulations instructing this, the federal government would not need to be involved.

You asked why you should have to pay for it, not why we have it in the first place. The reason is that Congress has the power to collect taxes. If that wasn't the question you wanted answered, learn to ****ing form a proper sentence instead of blaming me for your incoherence.
your attitude is why we have a malignant and out of control government
can you actually prove that claim? it seems that your most socialist members on this board think that everyone ought to have coverage even if they refuse or cannot pay for it. Now how does your solution deal with that?
Actually, I disagree with you, but not about the income redistribution part. General welfare of the US can certainly be interpretted towards assisting in the health of the populace.
And your attitude is exactly what drives people toward those "wealth redistributionist" or "class warfare" policies you deride. Your incessant whining about how horrible the poor rich folk have it in this country doesn't exactly engender any sympathy for you or your cause.
Its not an area where the federal government has the proper authority to create a solution
I guess you haven't been around long enough to understand that I take the tenth amendment rather seriously.
