and in 1968 i saw it performed in a theatre in london
 
and if so, where and when …
For anyone who isn't a "reader" go pick up a copy of the 2001 movie "A Knight's Tale". A pretty good adaption of several chapters of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. The primary being the chapter, A Kight's Tale.
 
Been a long time, but I remember some of the points regarding the Tales.
At the time, I thought the stories/writing was about the middle class wonderful things PLUS the phony stuff also.

Several years ago while sitting in a courthouse all day waiting to see if I got selected to sit on a jury.
