We got a list of donors for Marie Trumptoinette's new ballroom!

Apparently Trumptoinette, while soybean farmers are looking at financial ruin and no Fed workers are getting paid, is holding a party for donors of his beloved new gaudy piece of shit ballroom!

So we now know who (or at least "some of") is buying favor from him by supplying money for this.


President Trump on Wednesday hosted a dinner for donors helping to fund the cost of a planned White House ballroom, including leaders of major businesses.

Trump held an event in the East Room that featured representatives from Microsoft, Google, Palantir and other companies, as well as wealthy figures such as Blackstone CEO Steve Schwarzman and Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss.

“We have a lot of legends in the room tonight, and that’s why we’re here to celebrate you, because you gave, given tremendous amounts of money to see a ballroom for the first time at the White House,” Trump said.


And of course, he started in with the "they wanted this for 'so long' thing" schtick again, along with a "only a great businessman like me" horse flop for seasoning:

“The White House for 150 years-plus, they wanted to have a ballroom, and it never happened because they didn’t have a real estate person,” Trump said.

I had no idea the White House was a sentient being.

The only reason government is closed is democrats will not vote for the funding CR unless they get 1.5 trillion dollars for their pork spending, such as healthcare for illegals, and funding for NPR. And yes illegals are getting healthcare paid by citizen taxpayers.

Republicans can pass a CR without a single Dem vote. The filibuster can be gone anytime they want.

I'm complaining about the complete disregard for the guardrails between political donations and political access.

Also, I think Trump's preferred decorating style is hideous but that's a minor concern.

You mean like the democrats led by Harry Reid did during Obama's administration to pass a bunch of federal judges and executive branch nominees? They they didn't like it when the republicans used it to pass a SCOTUS justice.. So which way are democrats leaning this week.

No you're not. You just complaining about Trump. The democrats have plenty of political donations at parties and gatherings where a democrat President has been present. So don't act like this is at all strange.
As for Trump decorating style, it's not mine, but then I been to Versailles and seen how the Kings lived. Apparently Trump likes it.

I’m not saying I want them to do it. I’m factually stating the Republicans don’t need a single Dem vote.
 
This is the ballroom that nobody ever wanted in all of American history. And the one that Trump claimed he was paying for as a gift to the country, most of whom will never set foot inside it. But as usual, Trump is using other people’s money to do something he pretends he is paying for. He is not paying one cent. He never uses his own money for all his grifts and cons. He either gets loans he defaults on or suckers people into giving him money for supposed favors and access to him. Then he ignores those people once he has what he wants.

His cult followers don’t give a damn about this ballroom but will say nothing critical about this silly distraction. Anything that Big Daddy Trump wants they want it too. They want him lavished with gold and praise. They are disgusting in their slavish and self degrading sycophancy of this wannabe king.

And if they do that, it will open the flood gate for the democrats from now on. The democrats voted for 13 CR's during the previous 4 years but for some reason now they don't seem to follow their spoken advice, that shutting down the government was a terrible idea. All they have to do is vote for the CR.

Ok, it's a ballroom. But he doesn't dance. Somebody cue up the YMCA video he loves so much. I get it! He's building a white house ballroom to dance with the Village People!
