Netanyahu should grab this opportunity and work toward getting the remaining hostages released. As we saw from the large demonstrations this past weekend Israelis have run out of patience.

Hamas officials say they have accepted a proposal for a Gaza ceasefire deal that would include the release of half of the approximately 20 remaining living Israeli hostages as part of a phased resolution to the war, as Gaza health officials said 62,000 Palestinians had died in the 22 months of war.

Exchange of half of living Israeli hostages for Palestinian prisoners....

How about all Israeli hostages and no Palestinian prisoners?

Im not sure such a plan would work. Israel borrowed our tactics for Guantanamo where you dont even have to be charged of anything and can just be grabbed based on intelligence gathered through torture which is…. Iffy on reliability…/. Trade off low level lackies for prisoners.

Hostages.

Given that Israel in the last couple of days has decided to not only increase its military campaign in Gaza City, but also approve the building of an illegal settlement in the West Bank, it looks like Israel isn't interested in a ceasefire.
