Obama appears to be losing his Midas touch. The various governments and the people are opening their eyes up to the fact that we simply cannot afford this. To be proposing such a massive new entitlement while in the worst recession in 70 years is irresponsible and politically foolish. It's beginning to look like this whole thing could very well die just like HillaryCare did 15 years ago. I cross my fingers and hope.

Of course governors are worried. They have reason to worry. Consider the example of Massachusetts foray into UHC, Commonwealth Care:

National Journal Magazine - The Lessons Of Massachusetts

9.4% price increase at a time when inflation is negative 1.4%.

Dear Leader's healthcare boondoggle is the Massachusetts plan on steroids....and given Fedzilla's propensity to leave states to pick up the tab for unfunded mandates, any cost gaps in federal UHC will fall squarely on the backs of already overextended state budgets.

Massachusetts demonstrates the folly of the benighted Anti-Republican efforts to nationalize health care. Far from bringing health care costs under control, it will cause them to spiral out of all control.

It is good news and a little refreshing to see anyone oppose this plan that is seemingly designed to further erode the economy and does very little of what has been claimed. It appears the Dim (no spell error) Governors have been too bust running their own states to allow themselves to fall victim to Obama's spell and lies.
