Gov Patterson's short list for Clinton's replacement

I think he should pick someone from outside NY. Hahahah.

Looks like it is going to be Caroline Kennedy, and that is one hell of a bad choice. Let me tell you why. She has never held elective office. Also, when Democrats were waging their war on Bush, she was nowhere to be found. Now that things have gotten easy, she expects to get handed the Senate position because she is a Kennedy? Well go ahead, Dems. Give the Princess (she must think she is a princess, considering the fact that she believes the Kennedy name entitles her to something she does not deserve) what she wants. That way, the GOP will not only have something else to hammer Democrats on, but will also have an outside chance of unseating a Democratic Senator in the Next election there. When that happens, I will be laughing my ass off.

Schumer is up for re-election in 2010.

I wonder how many elected officials have held elective office without having held any other elective office before being elected to the office they hold. I bet none.

Well getting a US Senate seat right off the bat is like getting to start in the NFL, without ever having played football in either high school or college.

Generally they serve at the state or local level first.

Why does it matter who it is?

Only the president is responsible for anything in this country.
