Just let my team know.” The golf cart offer seemed targeted; back in 2017 during a G7 summit in Italy, The Times reported that while the other world leaders took a short walk together to reach the location of a photo op, Trump opted to wait for a golf cart and follow behind.

Donald Trump huffed and puffed online after Maryland Gov. Wes Moore challenged him to walk the streets of his state. The 79-year-old president lashed out on Truth Social on Sunday at Moore’s “nasty and provocative” invitation three days earlier to join him for some light cardio in Baltimore, calling the city a “crime disaster” and threatening to deploy National Guard troops.

...Trump was so angry about the public safety walk invitation that he suggested he may pull federal support for rebuilding the city’s Francis Scott Key Bridge, which collapsed last year.

A person in their mid 40s presenting a physical challenge of sorts, to a 79 year old - is an interesting tactic. I don't know much about Moore yet but the few interviews I've seen on TV haven't impressed me. When asked questions by Bret Baier which Moore hadn't fully prepared for, he uncomfortably struggled to think on his feet.

Some Dems seem to think he's a rising star. Maybe and we'll see, but he certainly hasn't shown me he has what it takes.

Is his plan now to try out the recent Newsom tactics? Best of luck with that approach, Moore.

There's a rumor going around that we only have to put up with this 12-year-old (mentally) leader's nonsense for another year, and probably less as a functioning occupant of the White House.

I realize this is his general condition, but the suggestion apparently outraged him, as it calls attention to his physical weakness. A bad look for a politician, especially for an authoritarian.
 
He should offer Dysfunctional Donald a half-charged mobility scooter that is so slow healthy people could easily walk faster.

Also, some doctors to walk along with Dilapidated Donald to constantly monitor his poor condition.

I'm trying to imagine what could break the spell. Even if Trump were to be found guilty of pedophile rape (just a thought exercise), MAGA would just deny it as more radical left wing lawfare!!!!!!!

Maybe, but I still think they will look for someone worse. Now, as I've suggested before, if there were Nuremberg-style trials (which there most definitely should be if we are still a nation of laws) when it's all over for Trump, the chaff could be dealt with legally and barred from political life. Otherwise, the sickness will remain.
I'd also like to see political parties barred from U.S. politics after this debacle, but that, though a legitimate concern on the right especially, makes too much sense for this generation. Hate is big business in 'murica.
 
In a perverse way I hope Trump picks on Maryland so Moore can get some national coverage.

I find it hugely interesting what issues Trumpers choose to stay silent on. Tells me all I need to know about their level of support on some of his most egregious acts. They don't approve of it but they refuse to criticze because that would be giving into the libs or they fear retribution. What a juvenile perspective when important issues matter.

It's very interesting to watch how Republican support in polls is moving from strongly support to somewhat support to don't support. Gradual but real.
