Democrats have been screaming and filing lawsuits for years to block state enforcement of immigration laws.
Now the complaint is that Texas may try to get Federal funds for immigration enforcement. Democrats claim Federal responsibility but fail to fund enforcement. Perfect for their real agenda, open borders.

President goes to Mexico's President and says look .... I'm going to stop all travel from USA to Mexico - we'll kill your Billions in tourism if you don't help us control this human trafficking

Pour resources into a border wall NOW and get it done PLUS add our military along the border, use it as a training grounds

Be exceptionally tough on anyone breaking our laws and coming here illegally

Those 3 things gets border under control FAST

Pipe dream that will never happen. The logistics alone are too much. The business of America is business. It is the flow of money across the border that matters, not people. That will never be halted.

The Cato institute is notoriously pro open border in allegiance to some perversion of Libertarian principals requiring deliberate blindness to the destruction wrought by uncontrolled migration.

The border wall is only "next to useless" thanks to the sabotage by the Biden regime.

It isn’t a perversion of some imagined pure version of libertarianism. This is the no true Scotsman fallacy at play here.

The cartels don’t need to breach the wall. They are welcomed by the American people with open arms to supply real Americans with recreational drugs.

You have completely ignored the fact that the wall was penetrated thousands of times. None of what you said negates this fact.

No True Scotsman fallacy. What is real libertarianism? There is nothing at all in libertarianism about borders.

So, he issued Executive Order 13767 to build the wall: without Congress.

In that order, there was no mention on how it was to be funded. Namely, because he insisted that Mexico would pay for it. Trump caused a government shutdown, but would manage later to get 11 billion out of Congress to pay for the wall in 2020 and tried to get close to 4 billion more from military construction projects without Congress by letting SecDef issue the order: didn't happen.

In the meantime, Trump issued eminent domain orders and grabbed up 135 tracts of private land with a goal of over an additional 5,200 acres to also grab from private citizens. Without Congress. Also, thought you guys were against socialist policies like that.

Side note: I have re-read this post and do not find it in violation of the TOS, nor does any moderator need to take any action on their own.

According to US Customs and Border Protection, 33 miles of new primary wall structures and 22 secondary wall structures were built.

351 miles of already existing primary wall structures were replaced/updates as were 33 miles of already existing secondary wall structures.

So, a new wall structure is something that had not existed before. Trump built 52 miles of that. You cannot call the replacement or update of already existing wall structures as new wall structures, because they already existed; therefore, not new...because they did not add more miles to the wall...which was Trump's promise. So, those fixing up or replacing of the primary and secondary already existing wall structures have to be subtracted given the promise Trump made.

You are making up your own nonsense as you go along. New wall construction is new wall, no matter what already existed. What already existed was poorly designed fencing, not the 30 foot high steel construction that replaced it.

I posted a citation from fox news via the DHS and Border patrol a few pages back. You didn't read it or are just pretending it isn't true.
The "wall" is nothing that can't be destroyed in minutes by a battery powered tool from Lowes.
