GOP senators target Planned Parenthood

Since 1977, federal funding hasn't been used for abortions. A budget provision, known as the Hyde Amendment, prohibits the use of federal funds for abortions except in the case of rape, incest or a threat to the pregnant person's life.

Nor am I, knowing that it is in fact a natural process that leads to the reproduction of many Earth species, including Homo Sapiens. It is also in the main, a simple process barring a few exceptions regarding problems with a birth. Humans, like most species who use this form of reproduction, have been doing it naturally for as long as our species has existed.

As "normal" as it is then, you'd think that men would handle it better, wouldnt you? Instead of being the single most dangerous thing about pregnancy/childbirth:

Altho they dont break them out specifically in murder rates, they do state that by far, the most frequent cause of death for pregnant women is murder by the sperm donor.
And they also dont include murder in the statistics about deaths due to pregnancy/childbirth.
No. 1 Cause of Death in Pregnant Women: Murder
FROM THE WEBMD ARCHIVES
"Given all the risks associated with pregnancy, it's easy to imagine that expectant mothers are vulnerable to illnesses and even to death. But shocking new information shows that these women actually are more likely to be murdered than to die from any complications of pregnancy -- or from any other cause for that matter.

"We found that homicide was the leading cause of death among women who were pregnant ... and accounted for 20% of deaths among that group, compared with 6% of deaths among nonpregnant women of reproductive age," says author Isabelle Horon, DrPH"
"There were 3.62 homicides per 100,000 live births among females who were pregnant or within 1 year postpartum, 16% higher than homicide prevalence among nonpregnant and nonpostpartum females of reproductive age (3.12 deaths/100,000 population, P<.05). Homicide during pregnancy or within 42 days of the end of pregnancy exceeded all the leading causes of maternal mortality by more than twofold. Pregnancy was associated with a significantly elevated homicide risk in the Black population and among girls and younger women (age 10–24 years) across racial and ethnic subgroups.

CONCLUSION:
Homicide is a leading cause of death during pregnancy and the postpartum period in the United States. Pregnancy and the postpartum period are times of elevated risk for homicide among all females of reproductive age."
"Laws restricting women’s access to reproductive care and abortion can place women at further risk, since control over a woman’s reproductive choices often plays a role in intimate partner violence, Lawn said in an October 20 U.S. News & World Report article. Lenient firearms legislation can also increase the risk."
With so many more women unable to access abortions...that many more men are going to be stuck with child support for 18 years...and many will be pretty pissed about it. Think that 20% murder rate is going to go up?

OK, but if X is a state government matter then why is there federal government funding involved?
You want states to pay all election and policing costs as well?

And also has prevented any foreign humanitarian aid from being used to provide abortion care. If I'm not mistaken, that rape, incest or threat to the pregnant person's life went away with Roe.

Cancer is also natural. What's your point?
It is also in the main, a simple process barring a few exceptions regarding problems with a birth.
How many is "few?" Because about 8% of pregnancies an lead to health complication for the woman and/or fetus. 60,000 pregnant women in the US suffer complications every year. But that's only a "few." No big deal, right? Your statement seems rather dismissive of women who do suffer complications.
Humans, like most species who use this form of reproduction, have been doing it naturally for as long as our species has existed.
And now with 8 billion people on the planet, it's safe to say we're overpopulated.

Federal funding does not generally go towards abortions, per the Hyde Amendment.

Seems like states righters would want that law repealed. Lol, like the way they opposed the Fugitive Slave Act.

Some would prefer PP doesn't get any funding at all, as they can only associate it with abortion.

No, they're clearly fine with states deciding "murdering babies" is legal.

Seems odd to me tho, since we dont accept states deciding murdering toddlers or teens or adults or seniors, etc. 🤷

But abortion is a state matter. The feds have no business interfering.

Abortion is also a medical procedure. The federal government ensures people have adequate healthcare needs available. PP is also federally funded. So the states should have no business interfering in its operations.
