I've said this many times before, and I'll say it again. The GOP, particular the MAGA wing of the GOP that currently controls the current president has nobody worth a damn to run in 2028. The MAGA radicals biggest fear is the reality that the Trump base doesn't turn out when their orange messiah isn't on the ballot. That they don't turn out for other candidates even if they are endorsed by Trump, even if they are on the same ballot as Trump! Trump whether you like it or not, is a turn out machine who turns out low propensity yokels to the voting booths who other wise don't give two shits about politics, and wouldn't vote other wise. This is the current GOP base as of right now. They are NOT reliable voters.

The radicals who control Trump policy are also aware that the "Tech Bros" such as Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, David Sacks, etc, are trying to co opt their "Movement" with J.D. Vance, and that the GOP establishment are trying to get Rubio back in the fold as well, in the pretend guise of "America First". They are fully aware of this, and how fragile their "movement" is once the orange man is gone.

Trump will be 82 in 2028. He's also fat and senile, and most certainly 100% has health issues. This poses a problem for people like Bannon, Miller, and the conservative treehouse types who have nobody else they can fully control, or who can win national elections based on their garbage "policies".

Also note that the Ogles is the guy who wanted to create a constitutional amendment that would allow Trump to run for a third term...but not Obama, because they know if Obama were to face off against Trump...the orange tinted felon would lose, and pretty badly.

We've seen this playbook many times in the past.
Throughout history and even in the present day, many rulers, often classified as despots or dictators, have declared, or their subordinates have declared, themselves lifetime leaders, refusing to relinquish power and often maintaining control through authoritarian means.
A few examples:
  • Augustus (Roman Empire): While not explicitly declaring himself a king, Augustus carefully consolidated power as the first Roman Emperor, holding various positions for life, effectively ruling as an autocrat after the Roman Republic collapsed.
  • François Duvalier ("Papa Doc") (Haiti): Elected president, Duvalier swiftly transformed Haiti into a despotic regime, establishing a personal cult and solidifying his rule for life until his death in 1971.
  • Fidel Castro (Cuba): After leading the Cuban Revolution, Castro held power for nearly 50 years, ultimately stepping down due to health reasons but only after a long reign as the absolute leader of Cuba.
  • Omar Bongo Ondimba (Gabon): Ruled Gabon for over 41 years until his death in 2009, maintaining a tight grip on the oil-rich nation.
  • Kim Il-sung (North Korea): The founder of North Korea, Kim Il-sung, ruled for 46 years until his death in 1994, establishing a totalitarian state and remaining revered as the "eternal leader" even after his death.
  • Robert Mugabe (Zimbabwe): Came to power in 1980 and remained president for 37 years before resigning in 2017 amid political pressure.
Contemporary examples
  • Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo (Equatorial Guinea): Seized power in 1979 and remains the current longest-serving president, winning elections with over 90% of the vote, although their legitimacy is widely questioned.
  • Paul Biya (Cameroon): Has been the President of Cameroon for 35 years.
  • Yoweri Museveni (Uganda): Has served as President of Uganda for 32 years.
  • Hun Sen (Cambodia): Has been the Prime Minister of Cambodia for 33 years.
  • Isaias Afwerki (Eritrea): Has been President of Eritrea since the country's independence in 1991.
  • Paul Kagame (Rwanda): Has been the effective leader of Rwanda since 1994.
  • Alexander Lukashenko (Belarus): Has held the presidency in Belarus since 1994, consolidating his rule and resisting democratic transitions.
  • Emomali Rahmon (Tajikistan): Has been President of Tajikistan since 1992 and has been accused of attempting to groom his son as a successor.

**** you Andy

No MAGA will go on record as willing to withdraw support if Donald wants and/or pursues a third term.

Nope. They are too unsure if he will.

They will not go on record. They will just do schtick.

Ogles is an inbred moron from the KKK state.

He needs to be wearing a shock collar. Anytime he says unconstitutional shit, he needs to get lit up.

Tennessee should change its name to KKKTrumptopia.

I got a better idea. Do away with Congress and do away with the judicial system. Just let Trump be King. That'll fix America.

Trump is too old to be there now. No way can he last another 4 years even if he managed to get another term. Trump supporters need to consider themselves lucky if he even lasts this term. He's a walking physical nightmare just waiting for catastrophic failure.

We already have congress derelict in their duties. And the judicial is just barely hanging on now. We're just a stone's throw away from failure as a democratic republic.

I am not disagreeing with you at all. That's where the panic for the MAGA radicals starts. Their golden orange goose is quickly aging rapidly, and they are 100% fully aware of it. Again, the problem is they have nobody else that can replace him that can replicate his ability to turn out his voter base.

I've said from day one. Trump aint leaving after four years.

This is just priming the pump for a public groundswell, manufactured off course

The one thing you can say for sure, the left believes Trump will seek a 3rd term.

While losing his ability to govern with energy, he has also lost his ability to campaign with energy. Every man has his limits. Trump reached them this time around. No way is there anything left for a rigorous campaign in 2028. Just won't happen.

MAGA better find themselves a new King. This one is used up.

he's just an attention whore. Nothing to see here.
a cry for help, perhaps.

Trump a third term?

I'll take "Things that no one wants in a million years" for $500, Alex.

The only reason to allow him to run again is so Obama can also run and beat him in a landslide as that would make him hopping mad.

I'm sure in that scenario Trump would cry about a rigged election again and claim he can't possibly have legitimately lost.

You're simply going to have to hold your nose and swallow.

I've said since long before the last election that Trump would create a dictatorship. Sometime following the mid terms, amid the hundreds of witch hunts seeking "illegal" voters Trump will announce a long list of security measures to "defend the nation against traitors within".

Martial law will be imposed (rehearsals are on going as we speak in DC and LA) and because of the "threat to national security", elections will be "suspended" until the "crisis" is over........... or Trump is dead...which is the start of a civil war, but another story.

I do not believe the current America will remain in tact. It will divide along "red" and "blue" loyalties.

I hope as I near 80 that I will not live to see it.

Obama won't be able to beat him as he is seeing to it Trump's enemies won't be allowed to vote
