So I have to answer an attack from you on every word I say to another poster now?
Are those the DP rules?
Are those the sidebar rules you have enforced on others?
Why do you feel a need to be an expert on the rules?
Do you come here with the goal of B/F/T on others or else for them?
Are all posters subject to your every B/F/T whim?
But if this is the case, I suppose the house can pass a quick CR to authorized spending on the service of the debt, if the house did so, would the senate also pass it and the president sign it if that is all the house passed? Perhaps I best do some more thinking about this.

If you start thinking, you'll be in the wrong mind-frame when looking at DC. They're all fresh out of give.
We need the Constitutional Convention, one of my better threads, used in a new way, excluding ALL pols.[/QUOTE
Yeah, thinking won't help. But I can't help myself. I have always thought if our elected officials in Washington voted the peoples wishes in the house instead of an party agenda, the senate the wishes of the majority of the people of their state, then all should operate fairly smoothly.
Around twenty or so years ago I read an article about how air travel was changing comradeship of our elected officials in Washington. Before everyone left Washington on Friday to go back to their home district or state only to return on Monday, it seemed they would fight it out during the day and then at night and over the weekend, as they had to stay in Washington then. They would get together over a beer, lunch or supper and meet each other during their off time and become friends with each other. Today, it is fight it out on during the day/week, then go back home. Getting to know your fellow senators and representatives is a no go. Just a thought.
You and douchebag Diana Huffington wish.
Democrats COULD win back the HOuse, but it would be quite a historic novelty for them to do so. Note also that the poll assumes that the shutdown is the biggest issue. Sure, if the shutdown happened this time next year, that would be incredibly damaging to Republicans. But in Oct. 2014, the biggest issues are more likely to be Obamacare and maybe immigration reform(assuming Democrats don't chicken out and stop advocating for it in election season).
One thing the election won't be about is guns, because Democrats famously clam up big time on guns around election time.
We live in novel times, with a contingent of knownothing tea partiers hellbent on destroying the government and the economy. Americans are actually starting to notice.
2014 election nothing - I expect recalls when the tea party forces a default.
Oh, I have no problem with some tax increases or my favorite way of dealing with them, tax everything as income. Whether Capital gains, wages etc, have all taxes on income be the same.
Everything liberals do is extreme. Want me to name some?
Yes we all know it's always someone else fault, I'm surprised you have not blamed Bush. But the truth is Obama will not negotiate, the leader of the NO party.
He should negotiate, I'm agreeing with you. He and the Democrats should sit down with Boehner and demand a tax hike on the rich, cuts to the military, excise taxes on financial transactions of the rich, banning guns, and strict regulation of the banking industry.
Let the negotiations begin!

I'd like your scummy masters to try to push that through
they would win a few more seats than the Libertarians in the next election. the majority party would be the GOP, the minority party would be the TEA party.
Another fail.
Can any tea partier here identify the radical leftwing legislation that they're paranoid about? Speak now or forever hold your peace.
So what radical leftwing legislation were your referring to again? You still haven't identified any. I sort of betting you can't.
Sure...Public Law*111 - 148 - Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act
are you not paying attention?
It was a blanket statement. I can refer to rightwing legislation either. I suppose the ACA is close as 58% of Americans were against it when passed and today depending on which poll you refer to the numbers are between 51% and 57% The 57% in a CNN poll and the 51% a CBS poll. I am not debating the merits of the law, just stating what is the will of the majority of the American people. I have a problem with any of our elected officials not listening to the will of their constituents. This is why 2010 happened.
2014 had the makings of another 2010, that is until the House republicans jumped the gun and now are playing stupid politics and falling right into the hands of the Democratic ploy makers. Democrats know how to play the political game, the republicans do not even know how to dress for it.
You think that a law that encourages private insurance is a radical leftwing idea?
BHAHAHAHHAHAH!
This is so rich!
In your dreams, joachin.
The DNC doesn't have much money to campaign with, but the GOP does.
Besides, who wants a gaggle of drunken-sailor-spending left-wing loons running the country, except other left-wing loons?
I think it's a little early to start paying attention the polls. A lot could happen before the elections start.
Wow, substantive repost.
In any case the polls say what they say. You conservatives haven't had a lot of luck recently claiming libral bias in polls, have you? Remember that whole 2012 election thingie.
People being "against" legislation doesn't make it leftwing. Usually the reverse it true.
In any case, the ACA is based on Romneycare, a conservative program conceived by conservative thinktanks, espoused by conservatives like Gingrich and put into effect by a conservative governor.
If this is the best you can do for "leftwing" legislation, it's hard to take your claim seriously.
