GOP Debate number 6 [W:106]

Damn if you voted for Boehner you are near where I live given Boehner's district is about 600 yards from my home!

voted Libertarian in 80-my first presidential election. Voted Reagan in 84, Bush in 88, Libertarian in 92, Dole in 96, Bush both times, McCain (that was tough but he was just slightly better than Obama) and Romney in 12

My congressional district has changed three times due to population growth, I grew up in the second (Grandson) moved to what was still the second, moved again which was first the one that Cremains and Ted Strickland was in, then Portman's then I was in Turner's now I am in Chabots. (first)

Ohio's 8th (Boehner's old District) runs north up to almost Lake St Marys in Dark County and east to within a few miles of London in Madison County. I live outside Yellow Springs, on the Greene/Clark County line, about 5 miles South of I-70, very close to Wright-Patt. We used to be in Austria's district. Turner's district begins less than a mile south of me. He has Beavercreek, YS and part of Dayton.

I'm very interested to see the candidates running to replace Boehner. There are several GOP guys fighting for the typically Republican leaning district. Should be a good show.

some guy was just endorsed who is running for congress by some bigwigs. don't recall his name. probably end up being an establishment GOP guy from greater Cincinnati. Yellow springs-used to drive thru it a lot up to West Liberty where I trout fish until I found a faster route Going through YS//Antioch was a real trip back to the 60s!

I ride my bike through it a lot in summer. Still full of hippies...they're just old hippies now. DeWine's family farm is on the edge of town, a country mile or so from my place, which is also not far from Youngs Dairy. The dairy has turned into a booming little enterprise over the years. It's always busy. Someone there has a lot of business sense.

Are you over by Loveland?
