Good Gun Week (1 Viewer)

Does a single action revolver have any other advantages other than reliability?

Practical advantages? Probably not even reliability. At best, some have reliability that is equitable with more modern designs.

A 69 Z/28 doesn't have any advantages over more modern cars either. Nevertheless, there are people who like to drive them.

Not really - just a different revolver platform.
Mainly historic, reflecting the Old West handguns.
I’ve never owned one due to the improved mechanics of a double action revolver.

I really like you but I really don't like your guns.......but we can still be friends because you manage them well.

Got the following-

New single action .22 revolver
4,000 rounds of 22lr ammo
1,000 rounds of 9mm ammo
1 AR-15 lower ordered
All were on sale

My daughter and her husband bought a .22LR youth rifle for my granddaughter yesterday. Pretty good sale on it, just over $100. She's got a few years before she can use it, but they're probably not gonna get any cheaper.

Very wise thing to do.
My kids starting shooting a .22lr rifle when they were 4 or 5.
It began a fantastic lifetime of education for them.
My daughter, 27, and my son, 23, both carry concealed now.
Their gun safely skills are exquisite.

Are you suggesting that mass shooters have poor gun safety skills ?

Thank you for your kind words.
Absolutely we can remain friends.
If I only associated with the people of the same mind, I wouldn’t be very intelligent.
My wife is not a gun person either after all these years, but tolerates me as well. 🥴

It doesn't take long for the right to descend into slander and abuse....

He isn't "the right", and he didn't say anything about you personally.

Let's break it down and analyze it through the four cardinal rules of firearm safety.

1. Treat all firearms as if they are loaded: THey definitely expect their guns to be loaded. I'll give them this one.
2. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target and you have made the decision to fire. Yeah, they probably do this also.
3. Always keep your firearm pointed in a safe direction. No, they don't do this.
4. Be aware of your target and what is beyond before firing. I can't give them this one, either.

So, 50% on the gun safety eval. Fail.

Rules that I'm sure all mass shooters know and adhere to.

I think I just concluded they don't. You read the post before replying, didn't you?

Hush. He's intent on proving that mass shooters don't use their guns safely.

He's already proven that murderers sometimes use guns. Also, that if someone was shot, the shooter used a gun to do that.

He's had less luck with his concept that shotguns and cell phones aren't portable.
