Trump Supporters Yell 'White Power,' 'F*** Black Lives,' During Rally in North Carolina
Supporters of US President Donald Trump yelled racist comments including “white power” and “f*** black lives” as their convoy passed counter-protester Megan Squire in Elon, North Carolina, on Saturday, September 19.This footage, shot by Squire, a computer science professor who studies online...www.yahoo.com
I did not say "Republican." Free trade, fiscal responsibility and strong defense are foundational for conservatives.
So who carries the mantle of the modern conservative movement if not Republicans? And you're referring one brand of conservatism. There are several that exist within the Republican party. There's libertarians, neoconservatives, social conservatives, religious conservatives and people who are simply confused/ignorant and call themselves conservative. The point being that you don't really get to make the call.
And again, when has the conservative movement been fiscally responsible?
Ridiculous!! Here she is from 2016 (Fox report):Ginsburg's last wish was to 'not be replaced until a new president is installed': report
The late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg told her granddaughter that her dying wish was not to be replaced until a new president is sworn into office, NPR reports.www.foxnews.com
.
Fat chance, Mitch McConnell will show his hypocrisy and Lindsey Graham will show himself to be a liar,
But in 2016, when a lame-duck President Obama tabbed Merrick Garland to replace the late conservative Justice Antonin Scalia, Democratic leaders had no problem with the move. And neither did Ginsburg.
"There's nothing in the Constitution that says the president stops being the president in his last year," Ginsburg said in a 2016 New York Times interview in which she called for Garland to receive a confirmation vote in the Senate.
As for whether the Senate should take up a vote on Garland, Ginsburg said at the time, "That's their job."
How are McConnell and Graham liars?Ginsburg's last wish was to 'not be replaced until a new president is installed': report

Which makes me wonder about Ginsburg's last dying wish. Was it to keep the court at 8 until another president other than Trump was president?...If Trump wins again, that could keep SCOTUS, at most, at 8 for another 4 years. ..What is the vote which breaks a SCOTUS tie? That reference to a new president in Ginsburg's dying wish? At any rate, which part of The Constitution supports Ginsburg's dying wish? BTW, Trump isn't a lame duck as many claim. Must the Senate be in dem control, too, for the consent of the SCOTUS nominee?Ridiculous!! Here she is from 2016 (Fox report):
All throughout the Great Reagan years. He took the dopey and destructive Jimmy Carter years
{ the Peanut Farmer President } with double digit Stagflation and by reducing Taxes
allowed the Treasury to Double it's revenues. From 500 Billion to One Trillion.
There is no longer any credibly conservative national political platform. When people ask my political affiliation, I usually reply that I'm an old-fashioned Midwest Republican -- I have no party. A number of conservative-dominated state governments have routinely run balanced budgets. So who carries the mantle of the modern conservative movement if not Republicans? Because they said one thing then do the opposite. Reasons don't matter, they said it and it is on record. But then again we have come to expect to be lied to after 4 years of trump and McConnell. How are McConnell and Graham liars?

I think Trump cares more about the condition of the US than the legacy of Ginsburg.Nothing you have said reflects the actuality of the situation.
Firstly, we have a President who pretends he cares about her death and the legacy she has left to only undermine and disrespect her standing by egotistically playing partisan politics with her wishes. The man cannot help himself, nor have the decency to respect the situation and complexity that is being faced currently.
Secondly, once again the Republican double standard emerged. Mitch McConnell says one thing in 2016 and acts in another way in 2020. Four years ago, he blocked president Barack Obama's nomination of Merrick Garland to the court on the grounds that it was an election year. Is this not an election year?
What hypocrisy!!

Being in an election year is not why McConnell held up the Garland nominee, BTW.
Ummm, that is what they Claimed was the Reason, McConnell, Graham, Cruz and several other Repubs made the same statement, were they Lying then or now? What did they say which is the opposite of what they're saying now?

Trump only cares about trump, and his only goal is to get re-elected, nothing else. one of these days you may actually learn that fact.I think Trump cares more about the condition of the US than the legacy of Ginsburg.
For one reason, they said BO was a lame duck. In other words, BO couldn't be re-elected 'cause he'd already served two terms.Ummm, that is what they Claimed was the Reason, McConnell, Graham, Cruz and several other Repubs made the same statement, were they Lying then or now?

Does not matter, there was no guarantee of who would be the next President since both were candidates, they just delayed it in the hope that their guy would win. Sorry but your and their excuses don't fly and the American People don't buy it for a second, oh except for the completely partisan Party faithful. It is not the Dems coming off looking like Liars and Dishonorable, that falls right the lap of the Repubs. If the Dems take power in November don't whine about what they may do, after all they are only doing the will of the People, right? For one reason, they said BO was a lame duck. Ummmmmmmmmm, it is the left who have claimed that if Trump and the GOP fill a position which they are legally entitled to do, if Democrats gain power from the elections, THEY will increase the number of justices on the court to pack it for generations to come.Falsehoods can be half-truths like yours. The senate stalled it using excuses like waiting for the incoming President and not upsetting the balance of an eight-judge court, making the current unseemly rush even more hypocritical. The Trump GOP is the one seeking generational power by cramming the judiciary with placemen and women at all levels
Great. They can add 10 judges. Then we the GOP takes over, we'll add 100. Soon, it will make the House look like a small dinner party.Ummmmmmmmmm, it is the left who have claimed that if Trump and the GOP fill a position which they are legally entitled to do, if Democrats gain power from the elections, THEY will increase the number of justices on the court to pack it for generations to come.
Right. They held it up because the public elected an Senate majority to the opposing party during the president's administration. Which means you let the public decide who they want to fill the seat in an election year. This is a Democrat rule. Republicans are just using the rules they created and live by.
If Democrats didn't like the rule, they should have said something over the past 30 years while their party leaders were bragging this is how they operate.
You can give all the reasons why you think McConnell, et al., denied Garland's nomination. They may not (or probably aren't) their reasons.Does not matter, there was no guarantee of who would be the next President since both were candidates, they just delayed it in the hope that their guy would win. From a socialist.....read a book and stop repeating your disasters.Romney just confirmed, once and for all, that there are no good Republicans.
