Giant step towards mammoth resurrection: first mice born with mammoth hair

Why would you want mice with Mammoth hair? And an elephant with mammoth hair is just an elephant with mammoth hair, not a mammoth.

And if we are one day able to clone the mammoth, WTF would we even do with them. Are there even places they could be released to?

They were grazers, we are mostly forrest. The Mammoth Steppe of the Ice Age is no more.
