All hate and rage and no substance. The primary role of government is to protect the lives and liberties of its people. If a state or local government is unwilling or unable to do that, the federal government may certainly have a role. DC is a 100% legitimate use of the NG. Chicago, not so much. Trump should focus his attention on troubled cities with republican governors who can legitimately call in the NG. If that has success, other cities, even those in Blue states will want to duplicate it.

I was listening to John Dean as he testified to the Senate committee about Watergate. Most who know a bit about it know Nixon had his enemies list. What we didn't know was how much of an enemies list he had and how passionate he was about it and guess who was at the top of that list, protesters because he didn't want the truth coming out.
