Get rid of 5,000 character limit

Most people only post a sentence, but when you spend time writing a bunch and you hit the 5,000 limit, it's annoying.

The obvious limitation is the number of people who'd even bother to read your entire post before giving up. Just look at the number of times people post links to articles they think buttress their ideology, only to find they didn't even read the total content of the link they posted, which effectively contradicts the point they're trying to make.

What gets under my skin is wall of text/stream of consciousness posts.

I have gotten to the point where I always skip over them.

4he problem is the copy/plasters. I myself have run into the 5000 word/3 pictures per post limit, but it's a neccessary evil I can live with.

The 5,000 character limit isn't going to change. If anything it's too much. Perhaps we can look at altering it to 4,998 characters.
