Ok, I looked up Jusos: Jusos - Jungsozialisten, or SPD young socialists. I take it Jung is young. My limited Germany vocabulary includes meerjungfrau. Someone, decades ago, in another forum, told me that was what mermaid is called in German

To be honest, I never heard the term "Seejungfrau". Synonymes for Meerjungfrau could be "Nixe"or "Sirene"
