'Trans' neo-Nazi shakes up gender debate in Germany​

Chemnitz (Germany) (AFP) – A fierce debate has erupted in Germany around a neo-Nazi provocateur who was ordered to serve time in a women's prison after legally changing gender, and has now not shown up to serve the sentence.

Liebich was a high-profile figure in eastern Germany's right-wing extremist scene for decades and used to be a member of the banned Blood and Honour group, according to German media reports.

He also ran a business that sold products online that are popular with xenophobic groups, including a baseball bat with the slogan "deportation assistant".

In 2022 he disrupted an LGBTQ pride parade in the city of Halle, calling the participants "parasites on society", according to activists.

But in late 2024, Liebich took advantage of a new law in Germany to make it easier for people to change their legal gender, registering a new identity as a woman.

A far-right racist is not one of mine. Neo-Nazis are not advocates for socialism as it is commonly understood. Opinions do vary according to one's personal beliefs which may be unsupported by factual info.

Maybe countries should stop implementing laws that people can so easily take advantage of.

Despite her being a Nazi I don't think she went to Moscow, not exactly a place welcoming to LGBTQ people, not even if you also is a Nazi.

She was bashing all lgbtq people pretty hard before suddenly coming out as trans. That's why people think she might be faking it. I am not that sure about it, why would she fake it? What would be the point? But if she is faking it she will hate that we refers to her as a she, because all those Nazi guys absolutely can't stand if their masculinity is questioned, so let's just keep doing it. And if she is for real, well even a Nazi deserves to be referred to with their preferred gender.

Um .. the word Nazi is short for Nationalsozialismus which is German for national socialism it's in the name you were saying socialists don't advocate for socialism?
