German Shepherd leads police, and then fire fighters to his family's burning house in rural Alaska

A police officer was responding to a 911 call after dark, but was having difficulty finding the rural home, or even the road where it was located. The officer was heading straight at an intersection, when a German Shepherd appeared on the road, cut across in front of him, and started running up the left turn road. The officer sorta knew something was up, so he made the left instead of going straight, and eventually found the blazing house where the dog and its family lived.

Incredibly, while no one was watching, the dog ran back to the intersection, and led the fire truck to the house!

I have a Labrador puppy. He's more likely to start a fire than help emergency responders find it.
